Thanks, it’s working!

Pink cherry blossoms against blue sky
View down a bike path with trees on both sides
Glassy water reflecting blue skies and clouds. Trees surround the water.
Osprey with fish being chased for that fish. It is against a blue sky with puffy white clouds
Four views of a beautiful spring day. Cherry blossoms, an osprey trying to keep his fish from others, the reservoir, and a bike path.
First day with the new supervisors went shockingly well. A box of fancy chocolates (not from work) showed up to help celebrate. Phew.
Plants are okay!
Thank you! Fingers crossed… it should be an improvement over the awful situation I was in.
Heavy frost last night. I meant to cover the plants in the greenhouse but had a minor emergency. I am afraid to look at them today.
I like to be quick and sharp at my job, so having to take notes and refer to them to see how I am supposed to be doing things this week is disruptive. Hopefully the near daily work changes will go away now. We have not exchanged cat photos yet.
Sunday scaries more than usual. I get a new immediate supervisor AND manager tomorrow (the old ones… no longer my problem). Not sure how many changes there will be, but expecting them to be for the better. It’s still hard to adjust.
Apoogied is a new favorite word. I figured it was video game terminology.
Good reason to take a chance on it. You could also add a frost cover.
Thanks! I didn’t stay out too long, so it was a nice surprise that I got a few nice ones.
Green yellow daffodil almost blooming, with raindrops of different sizes all over it
Pink and purple pulmonaria flowers with spotted foliage and lots of raindrops collected on the flowers
Sage green accordion folded leaves of lady’s mantle, with water beaded up all over it
Tight pink buds of flowering almond with raindrops on them
Ready for some wet garden shots? Here you go! Stuff is blooming and it’s raining, but my camera is submersible.
(The greenhouse has already been about half full of frost tolerant stuff)
That technique got me through the May frost a couple of years ago!
Sometimes I gamble at this time of year. I am hoping to put at least some of these in the ground at the end of the week, depending on the forecast. I have enough seedlings to risk some.
I need to pot up about 40 seedlings tonight. I want to plant parsley in the greenhouse, but it’s going to be below freezing for the next couple of nights.
Torbie cat curled into a circle with orange cats jellybeans underneath her face.
When you’re trying to have a relaxing Sunday nap and someone else puts their toes under your face. #notrejuvenating
Crummy weather yesterday, today, and tomorrow… time to make Cookie & Kate’s Best Ever Lentil Soup. Hopefully there will be enough to freeze.
Assorted fresh baby greens
I’m loving how fast the greens grow lately. Every day, I’m picking enough for a meal. Today it is mostly mustard greens, bok choy, green onions, kale, napa cabbage, and tatsoi.
Me too! Last year we saw them on the first try, this year it took 2 visits.
Woodcock sky dance mission accomplished. We also heard the first wood thrushes of the year at the same place! I love their song. I realized that they should not cross with woodcocks.
I hope so!
Tonight will be my second attempt to see and hear the woodcocks’ sky dance this spring. Wish me luck.
Hearing the first Eastern Towhees of the spring right now!
Good catch!
Tough one when I have a bunch of pets, but here is a favorite.
Orange naughty cat intentionally not looking at a tray of parsley plants
Someone who is definitely not touching the parsley. If you’re looking. I’m glad I am planting a lot of these in the greenhouse soon… my cats are lousy gardeners
Orange and torbie cats pressing their feet against each other while laying on a couch, facing each other.
Partially snuggling and partially fighting. While laying down.
Somebunny (not that bunny) wanted to give you a gift.
A new band name.
