@sgrego.bsky.social those on the far right, no. But there will be those that see the error of their ways and truly seek to better themselves, they deserve forgiveness.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Turns out they were Wright.

Zelensky cares more about Ukraine and Ukrainians, present and future, than about himself or what people say about him. This makes him incomprehensible to people like Trump and Musk, who care only about their personal power and image. He is a living rebuke and it’s one reason they despise him.

It's all about putting people in place that won't balk at an unconstitutional order he plans to give.

@gtconway.bsky.social it’s what they want to happen! They want a violent demonstration on the part of the opposition so they can draw an equivalency with J6 and also to declare martial law and “grant” emergency powers to suspend elections.

@cajohnson-craig.bsky.social “He doesn't intend to run again, he doesn’t think he needs them anymore.”
He promised some group of voters last year "in four years, you don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed so good, you're not gonna have to vote." They plan to suspend meaningful elections.

@tomcatjock.bsky.social I think a typo is taking away from the gravity of what you were trying to say.
Thank you for your service.

Not long enough or loud enough apparently.
It's relevant again now that the admin is asking for "payback" for what we've spent in military aid. IMO Ukraine paid their end of the deal in the '90s and hold a chit to cash in whenever the need arrises.

I'm just not seeing it talked about in the context of a promise kept for something quite tangible the US received?

In exchange Ukraine got security assurances from this exact type of agression from the West. I understand the current admin doesn't care, but surely 20+ years of national security is worth much more that what we've spent on arming Ukraine?

@carlquintanilla.bsky.social why is no one talking about this in the historical context of the "Budapest Memorandum"? For those that don't know - We made a deal at that time so all those Nuclear Warheads didn't end up on the open market, ensuring our national security from "Rogue Nations".

A Valentine for Vladimir Plus: How did the federal government take $80 million out of a private bank account?

"The problem isn’t that Trump doesn’t understand that he’s laying the groundwork for Ukraine to lose. He doesn’t care if Ukraine loses.

The problem isn’t that Trump doesn’t understand he’s giving a massive victory to Putin. He's on Putin’s side."

How did someone get to read those WhatsApp groups? Were they just dumb enough to let someone in that spilled the tea? And they didn't have the messages set up auto delete?

@theintercept.com the failure of democrats to plan any kind of resistance to this. They have had the Project2025 playbook for quite a while but seem to have not taken it seriously at all!
