That’s what I did!! Neal scored against Benfica & Southampton at home in 1979 before the season end, but I can’t see my dad taking me to a night game when I was 8 (might be wrong like) so Saints is most likely 🤷. Yep, KK sat the defender down and curled a sublime finish to the corner

Strange 1 because I know it was in 78-79 season but can’t remember the oppo. I think Phil Neal scored so that points me towards Southampton late in that season. My next game was the 1979 Charity Shield which is much clearer, especially King Kenny’s cracker that still makes his highlights reel 🤩😎
