I do kinda feel like this was true when Yokai Watch burst into popularity in between pokemone game releases... hard to know for sure thought and i'd definitely prefer they toned it down a bit and focused more on quality

One more thought! Unless you have them and they aren't in the picture you'll want windmuffs (deadcats) for the microphones anytime you're planning on recording outside unless you want loud windnoises in everything :)

Yo the goat went all out! I've been building a similar setup for my own foley. One thing about game sfx is you sometimes need digitally created effects like synth sounds, twinkles, robot sounds, fantasy sound effects etc that are much easier to create with the right VSTs or synthesizers. Keep it up!
