The NIH Brain and Tissue Bank (under the Orphan Diseases umbrella) has my left kidney.
This isn't just work stopping. This is cell lines dying. In vivo tissue going bad. Fly lines dropping. Research materials going bad.
A lot of that stuff you can't just pick back up. Once it's gone it's gone, or will take years to reconstitute.
