We won.

Tesla Chicago is closed.

Their new location is in a ghost town. They sacrificed visibility to thousands/day--& proximity to the other luxury car dealerships--to get away from us, because we'd turned their brand ambassador location into a liability.

Organizing works.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

Also, the whole idea of the NDIS is that it's a service to the nation. Traditional media coverage and Coalition policy (now that Hollie Hughes has gone) is that it's a burden, and that any misspending invalidates the whole exercise. How to change the underlying attitude of being a burden?

The entire issue with the NDIS is that a generation of Australians (including almost everyone working in the political media) have become indoctrinated to believe the private sector is more efficient than the private sector.

Privatize disability care? What *could* go wrong???

I think the general drying up of social media might be a healthy thing for me. It has become a constant idle distraction when I really should be focusing on my fantasy football team.

We need to flip the script on NDIS incentivising disabilities
Instead of rewarding psychological fragility, our government must stop incentivising young Australians to medicalise everyday struggles and anxieties and encourage resilience.

This is total horseshit.

The NDIS incentivizes shonks and ticket clippers to provide dodgy services and "assistance" at higher costs to people with disabilities.

As pointed out by @sprocket0.bsky.social, SkyNews Aus has a reporter following Trump. His name is Matt Hampson.
His main role is to ask the Mad King leading questions about Australia. His "answers" are then reported here by the News Corp (especially The Oz), who then demand the PM answer in return.

It's not a comedian's job to be a role model. Additionally it is not a comedian's job to tell funny jokes. The biggest part of a comedian's job, and certainly the most important, is to get mad that "they" didn't let Kevin Hart host the Oscars. Just get up there and talk about that for a while.

Milwaukee officer accused of misusing Flock surveillance cameras • Wisconsin Examiner A MIlwaukee police officer accused of using Flock to monitor a romantic partner and the partner's ex is negotiating a deal.

Just like has occurred with virtually every other form of police or national security surveillance tech, law enforcement officers abuse their access to these tools to engage in intimate partner violence. Flock is no different:

The problem with the NDIS - and there is a problem - is the same one Australia always faces. If you let small businesses exploit the public purse, they'll exploit it mercilessly (remember pink batts or any one of a 100 such programs). The key is in the system design, not the auditing of it.

Carl Sagan gets asked if hes a Socialist. YouTube video by Reddy Greens

I wish Carl Sagan was still with us to poignantly soliloquize over this moment, but in lieu of that, I’ll just enjoy the one time CNN asked if he was a socialist, which he responded to by lighting the whole country’s ass on fire
