honestly, i would have been fine with a worldbuilding expac just bc after endwalker we kind of need to rebuild up stuff about areas we haven't been to so we can get hyped for visiting them and see them payoff those details later.
I wish I could disagree. I really like the first half of it but the Alexandria stuff just should have been pushed over to the next expac. Like I was expecting (hoping?) that this would be our "reset" chapter to re-lower stakes but then they just fully come at us out of nowhere.

I genuinely don't know why they did the Pelupelu one other than slipping in another 10 reference because it definitely was the worst one since I think the Kojin.
I mean I think DT has just been weirdly weak. Like there felt like there were stories that were well-seeded from the narrative and they pretty universally ignored them to do something else. The only bad one was the Pelupelu questline, the Mamool Ja and Yok Huy ones were actually solid.
