Ah yeah I will fix that!

This is a rare opportunity.
We only add about one person to the team each year and only plan to ever have 10-12 full-time people on the team total.
What do you mean by broken? On what OS?
Please open an issue with steps to reproduce and any console errors.
Obsidian Web Clipper is available on all browsers that support browser extensions, including mobile.
The 1.3 update is already approved on Chrome and Safari but may take a little longer to get approved for Firefox

New in Obsidian Reader:
- Themes and typography settings
- Highlighting
- Save options
Also added a beautiful new reading experience for deeply nested comments on Reddit and Hacker News.
Available with Obsidian Web Clipper 1.3 on all browsers.

I want to try this tiny Obsidian travel setup now that iOS supports mouse input
Obsidian Web Clipper is also open source, so I don't think that's a factor. Do you see this banner in AMO?
I think maybe because Web Clipper is so popular it always goes to manual review?
I submit updates to all stores at the same time but Firefox consistently takes 2-4 weeks longer to approve. I don't know what can be done about it.
One thing that makes Obsidian Reader insanely difficult to build is that websites are full of bugs and bad HTML/metadata that I have to work around
e.g. here New Scientist defined author as "#author.fullName}" in the metadata but Obsidian Reader still gets the correct one
plans, yes
yes, there was a longitudinal study with hundreds of pairs of socks that took place in my house for several decades
I still do!

what are the chances this thing will be abandonware in a month?
you can make something in a few days but will you commit to maintaining and improving it for the next few years?
talk to Mozilla about it 😮💨
The future is not creating a power drill from scratch for every task. It's making reliable tools that can easily adapt to the task.
A power drill provides motorized torque in a handheld format. It's more malleable than a screwdriver because you can change the bits.
Should work if you use the Obsidian Web Clipper extension since that runs locally
It's part of Obsidian Web Clipper and doesn't require Obsidian.
It runs on all browsers that support extensions, including mobile (Safari and Firefox).

I have been working on Obsidian Reader for over a year. I didn't want to share it until I felt it was good enough. It's finally there.
Consistent formatting for any article. Outline, syntax highlighting, nice footnotes, adjustable typography.
Runs locally. Just rules, no AI.
this is the whole internet for me sadly
I have been... for years 😭

If you are using MCP to access your data, you are trusting that third party with unencrypted access to your data.
Third-party MCPs are not an option if you value privacy. End-to-end encryption makes MCP effectively useless.
it seems related to non-US queries, I'll look into it
in the meantime it should work with Web Clipper
Fixed
