Thank you ever so much, I'm always amazed by how much brilliant music I get to hear each month and the fact that people are interested in the selections.

Your post reminded me Andy. I meant to do this but having a week off got in the way! Here's the Tidal version.

Oh...
Optimism... that's what I'm getting from the photo
Imagine being the other Walker Brother's and hoping that this record was going to put you back in the big time, and then you hear Scott's contribution's which all sound like gloriously orchestrated soundtracks to haunted house fairground rides. You'd have your head in your hands wouldn't you?
My other #RSD pick. The Berlin trilogy's errant cousin.
No doubt that Richard Tice will be demanding the resignation of Richard Tice in the near future, as he did for Angela Rayner
Sunday morning music.
Didn't pick up much on #RSD yesterday, but was surprised to still see a copy of this on the shelf by the time I ventured into Empire Records in St Albans
My latest monthly playlist is up on Spotify. A selection of music that's made my world a little better over the last few weeks. I hope it has the same effect on you.
The phantom satsuma leaver has struck again!
Take care Colin
This is on Sky Arts at the moment and it's fabulous.

Ask yourself. Why is everything so expensive? One person can be linked to it all.....
What a lovely track. Blake's pulled off the magic trick of making something that sounds warm and familiar but at the same time fresh and modern.
In a chaotic world a semblance of order. Jarvis back on 6 Music and Pete back on a Monday lunchtime to provide terrific at work entertainment.

It's having a major revival at the moment, events on most nights of the week. Some really good people are there, working hard to make a community based venue in St Albans.
I see this Zombies mural every day at work and it never fails to lift my spirits
A couple of photos of Jimmy's from a couple of years ago. The bell at the end of the bar is an old boxing timekeeping bell from Madison Square Garden.
Jimmy's corner is one of the greatest bars I've ever been in. It's the sort of place that you see in the movies but rarely in real life, a good hearted, rough around the edges slice of disappearing NYC in the heart of Times Square.

Sunday morning music part three
I've always been reluctant to ask my local record shop to get something in for me in case it's far too expensive & they end up lumbered with something niche that they're not going to sell in a hurry. I don't know why the RSD people don't attach a RRP to the list of releases when it's first revealed
Resident records in Brighton have put up a list of everything they'll be stocking on Record Store Day. Super helpfully they've also included the prices as well.
