In that particular case, it pretty much is. Grace/Stratt accounts for 48 of the 684 book tag stories, and 31 of the 402 movie tag stories. There are 2-3 times as many Grace/Rocky stories as Grace/Stratt, and even those are at most a fifth of the total fic on AO3.

I have already seen (a very tiny sprinkling of) allosexuals getting mad because they aren't in this picture, and that's honestly delightful. A fandom so determinedly aroace that it's somehow invalidating heterosexual friendships by existing. We're so blessed

Among fans who *do* ship him, the key pairing is Ryland Grace/Simon from Iron Lung. (One day there was suddenly a ton of Markiplier fanart in the tag, and it took me a minute to figure out why.)

The number 1 thing I have complained about in ME2 & 3 is ambient noise. Advertisements, announcements, news reports, arguments, moving background video - I hate it so much

I could go a couple ways with power leveling up - I like the more granular ME1 approach best, but I would accept an argument for ME3's branching options being the best version. ME2 is ... fine. I do like being able to acquire loyalty powers? It's fine.

I'm on my third playthrough of Mass Effect, and I think my ideal ME would be

- ME1's world exploration
- ME1's weapons & squad armor customization
- ME2/3's Shepard armor customization
- ME2's storytelling
- ME3's romance options
- ME2/3's Infiltrator mechanics

It's been a long time since I've immediately wanted to vid something as badly as I wanted to vid Project Hail Mary (maybe ten minutes in, tops). By morning I had a fully outlined fic idea.

I checked out the book and finished it in about a day. Now it's time for "which version is my fic set in"

According to MapQuest, Trip 1: 5,500 miles, Trip 2: 3,500. My grandfather's station wagon broke down in Montana on the side of Highway 2 in an era before cell phones, rallied through the Cascades, and died in Appalachia 500 miles short of home. In its place, I might have given up after 5k miles too

A couple years ago my mom and I did home > Chicago > Custer State Park (SD) > Denver > Great Sand Dunes National Park (CO) > St. Louis > Kentucky > home, with sidequests through the Badlands and Lawrence KS (yes I did), which was probably the longest road trip I've done as an adult?

One summer with my grandparents when I was in high school, in the back of their station wagon: Michigan > Chicago > western Montana > northwestern Washington > South Dakota > North Carolina, staying in most of those places for about a week with stops in-between.

I watched a trailer afterward and was really, really glad I did not know all that going in! Is the audiobook good? I'm picking up the book itself tomorrow, but I'm always up for a really well-narrated audiobook

I went to see Project Hail Mary last night, and I want to live in the experience of seeing that movie for the first time knowing almost nothing about it. "Ryan Gosling goes to space" was it. Not one trailer or promo still. 10/10

#MassEffect I think the ending I chose wasn't the one that made the most sense for my "save everyone no matter what" character arc, but I got too attached and made a player decision instead. Also, I didn't want Steve to be a widower again! I would widow Garrus in a heartbeat, but Steve??
