I've been an avid AirPod user since 2016, today I made the switch to a pair of Nothing Ear (a) and I'm not looking back. Great fitting, ANC and audio quality. Unbelievable it's 1/3 of the price as well.

I'd say if you're building anything simple you can't go wrong with using the built in http server from net/http. It scales incredibly well and there are loads of middleware and helper for the `http.Handler` interface. If the ServeMux routing isn't enough check out Chi.

I've been interviewing lots of candidates for a fullstack engineer role and the similarities between candidates are very interesting to me. Majority leans into frontend rather than backend, prefers mongodb and the "mern stack". It's of course a small dataset but still interesting metrics.

The audacity of Claude to first hit me with a "Actually, that's not quite correct." and then fall back to "Ah - you're absolutely right and I was wrong."

Got introduced to Frontpage 97. Later switched to macromedia dreamweaver and printshop pro for design to create some fancy table layouts for counter-strike clan sites.

I do the same to select power profile. Pretty neat.

Bash script to select audio output sink using fzf

I switch audio outputs multiple times per day and now when I run sway there's no built in feature that helps me to this, so I wrote a small script. When the feature usually is a dropdown in macos/gnome desktop I always opt for using fzf.

Of course there are. But from my experience I think gnome desktop is more full featured and complete solution for someone coming from windows or macos (like I am). Last time I ran KDE for example I had to install more tools and configure it to make it feel more like a full featured system.
