My ranking of 2025 movies updated with Predator Badlands and Killer of Killers

I’m curious to see what we’ll come out of this. I doubt he’ll be able to do his own movie but maybe not the can get new Roger Rabbit books.

What an amazing time to be an Alien and Predator fan

Well I’m not a purist of the Predator franchise so my ranking is probably different from most fans

Hot damn this really over performed. I’m hoping the strong word of mouth can give it really good legs in its run.

My ranking of the Predator franchise

Finished Predator: Badlands. This has become my favorite film in the franchise. It flips the format of a Predator movie on its head and takes it on an action sci-fi direction that maintains the brands edge. Dan Trachtenberg has made his most ambitious movie yet and it paid off. 9.5/10

I’ve watched all of six main Predator movies to get reads for Badlands. I’m what a ride.

The creative team being put together here is really encouraging.

Chris Columbus never directed any of the Gremlins movies. He just wrote the first one.

Following this story makes for a really good incentive to rewatch Succession

Love all of them but this feels like a waste of time to be campaigning for these nominations.

Watched the original Predator for the first time to get ready for Badlands. Not bad. Not bad.

That’s shorter break than the Spider-Verse films and Disney and Pixar films. Not 100% sure it they can stick to that window but I’m excited nonetheless.

You can’t be 100% certain that Dune will move to March. And against, most people who aren’t online in the animation space don’t know about Gatto, they haven’t released anything beyond concept art. it’s not gonna effect much by moving to March 2028.

Dune 3 is still slated to come out in December 2026. I don’t think the general audience is even really aware of Gatto yet. A bigger issue of the movie moving to March 2028 is if, Elio, the released a trailer with the intention of still having it be in 2027 and then moving it afterwards.

Jeez, you’re a grown man dude. You should have the emotional intelligence to at least have some decency. Many people are aware of how rough the world is right now and can at least do that.

I would disagree on this. I think many people who watched Better Call Saul has it overshadowing Breaking Bad in terms of quality but Breaking Bad still has the bigger cultural footprint I think.

I watched a review on it when it first came out after I saw the headlines. There’s a lot of great stuff in it I think but it does have that sledgehammer social commentary that people have disliked with McKay’s work that really came to ahead by Don’t Look Ip.
