Turtles all the way down. This article's sentiment keeps getting recycled because people can't be bothered to look with their own two eyes at the claims being made. NO, there was and is no "radical agenda" to trans the kids. NO, there are no large numbers of trans athletes. It's all lies, ma'am.

They never realize that "RADICAL GENDER IDEOLOGY" is a made up and largely bullshit bogeyman.

Someone will write this same article in 5 years about marriage, but from an interracial marriage. They will say they fought "RADICAL SEXUAL IDEOLOGY IN MARRIAGE" and only then will this pick-me care.

They hate us more than they love being alive.

This is why they will lose.

"Update 4/7/26:
Dr. Kaltiala has now responded to our criticisms of her study through Gender Clinic News, an anti-trans blog whose author describes transgender healthcare as "gender ideology" and refers to advocates of gender-affirming care as "gender ideologues." Her response is notable less for what it addresses than for what it avoids entirely. Of the major methodological flaws identified in this fact check—surveillance bias, the misanchored index date, immortal time bias, the binary outcome measure, and the abusive clinic practices—she engages with almost none of them."

The author of the study's response to criticism was posted in an anti-trans blog, is affiliated with a SPLC-designated hate group and worked to previously ban care in the US. Why is anyone taking any of this seriously? "I am a transphobe, here is my study on why gender care is hella bad, mmkay?"

Legitimate scientists are horrified because every ethical and moral boundary is being destroyed. The theocrats, TERFs, and billionaires doing this, are driven by ideology and blind hatred. The people caught in the middle are mostly trans and intersex people who are and will die because of them.

The trick here is that they're slowly amassing a body of largely shit "science" full of procedural and methodological errors. "facts" found in garbage like the anonymous NIH paper, the Cass Review, the Swedish study. Their answer to being proved wrong is "You didn't use the right (my!!) facts!"

It's the same trick Sex Matters used in "free speech." When they got their "Gender Critical Beliefs" ruled to be a protected characteristic by the courts, their discriminatory anti-human, anti-reality pseudoscientific viewpoint was legally elevated to be equal to a trans person's right to live.

The tell: If trans/gender diverse people are simply "expressing" themselves, why does fire never interpret a trans person's right to exist as a threatened aspect of "free speech?" Why are they not fighting drag bans as a violation of free speech? Social transition laws? Pride crossings? Book bans?

2 weeks ago 47 13 1 0

FIRE and orgs like them assist in the social murder of gender diverse people by equating their very existence with "expression" which can be policed. Then they equal that to one's liberty with the "right" to spew lies and bigotry. When academics saw through this, they became violently reactive.

"I never saw anything become as remotely radioactive..."

They advocated for the removal of the civil rights and PERSONHOOD of a group of people that have been proven to exist beside humanity since humans came out of the caves. When told they were advocating for pseudoscience, they doubled down.

As a fine example, I'm sure J. Michael Bailey, when not performing that AYAGDOS study with known creep Kenneth Zucker, is still out there trying to sleep with one of his clients.

They will, in one breath, accuse trans people of being sexual fetishists, perverts, and groomers. Then they'll turn around and demand trans people perform sexual behaviors on request, describe their most intimate moments, and ask repeatedly about their genitalia as a requirement to gain treatment.

A screenshot of a post on X by SEGM (@segm_ebm). The post text reads: "A new Finnish study reports that youth gender transitions (under age 23) did not improve mental health symptoms. For some youth, medical gender reassignment may have had a negative impact."

Below the text is an image showing the "Results," "Conclusion," and "Summary" sections of a medical study. The word "FALSE" is stamped in large, bold, red letters across the center of the study text.

A specific sentence in the "Results" section is highlighted in blue: "Among adolescents who underwent medical gender reassignment, psychiatric morbidity increased markedly during follow-up—rising from 9.8% to 60.7% in feminising gender reassignment and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising gender reassignment."

This is going around on X, a new study by SEGM member Riittakerttu Kaltiala (the abusive head of a clinic in Finland) is getting picked up as proof that gender-affirming care doesn't work. The data actually shows something very different from what the authors claim. It's purposefully distorted.

Kaltiala testified before the Florida Board of Medicine to help ban GAC, worked with a DeSantis-appointed Catholic Medical Association board member, appeared on podcasts with Genspect's Stella O'Malley who labeled trans girls as "porn induced" fetishists. But sure this study is not biased at all. /s

When someone's entire organization is damaging and destructive to someone's acceptance and ability to function in society, they have no right to study that target group. An SEGM member pushing this study reads a bit like they're self high-fiving for making trans people miserable by faking results.

"Psychiatric morbidity increased on follow up."

Even if they didn't p-hack this to find their conclusion (they did), this entire "study" can be summarized as "Klan's landmark study: Black people have more mental illness."

Maybe if SEGM wasn't out there spreading lies, and society was kinder?

Watching gay men become radicalized and oatmeal-brained by consuming heaping spoonfuls of fascist cope on X is like watching the second half of Requiem for a Dream on a loop.

Trans people were too obscure to know one personally, too visible for people to ignore. So cons planned at Family Research Council Value Voter's Summit, to split trans people off of the larger community, scapegoat them, and ultimately, commit social murder while feckless third-way democrats gawked.

ADF/Heritage used the constitution's Game Genie cheat code of "My religious freedom is more important than your right to live" to override everything—public health, civil rights, women's rights. Someone can now torture a kid in conversion therapy if parents say their version of god allows it.

They needed someone to dump their rage into because their belief system (one where the world consists of hierarchies and people have no mobility) is largely seen as holding back society. After a black man became president and gay marriage was legalized federally, they had a mass existential crisis.

It's also rich that they claim "the evil and nebulous left" is erasing women when they just went on an anti-DEI/unWoke rampage that canceled countless studies into women's health, leadership initiatives, employment grants, and commemorations.

The DARVO party loves to shout about their achievements.

"Letting men into our spaces" is literally all Republicans do. They just think it's okay because that man is a Republican senator or congressman who dictates how a woman should get medical care or make choices about her own body.

This is the same exact mechanism. Republicans and TERFs are destroying people's lives, making people miserable, spreading disinformation with wealthy X-brain-cooked billionaires and theocrats funding the whole thing. But they'll disavow the damage they're doing and insist trans people are "a fad."

Make trans people miserable, ostracize them while vilifying them in the captured state media, but deny any and all involvement in the actual mechanism. Entire reporting careers are built on it. the detrans grift complex is built on it. Our most vulnerable, kids and teens, are the clearest victims.

It's feigned ignorance—lying about and acting oblivious of the harm they're causing. But on the flip side, they all flock to X where Elon has created a digital Charles Manson-like following. Under him, they celebrate the same deaths of those teenagers and kids.
