I don’t particularly agree with this assessment, tbh. You can argue Grav is one of the best young midfielders if you like, but at what? In which position? Is he a DM? An 8? What exactly is he? Does he make the team better? Does he bring balance to the midfield?

Rightly so, IMO. It’s different if you’ve been working on a change in training for some time. Doing it on the fly in a vital game is just a throwing shit type of desperation, for me.

I don’t know how you can do that after giving Gravenberch a big contract, tbh. I don’t think Wharton with Gravenberch would work. Honestly, I’m very confused about what we want to do, particularly if Slot stays, because he adores Grav.
