At the end of this month I’ll be three years into this business of putting out vinyl and writing about music I love that maybe passed you by. Somehow, I’m still doing it.
Next week I head off to Dartmoor to organise/finalise things for the next release.

Finished the series of short blogs to accompany @unspunheroes.com reissuing The Felt Tips Living and Growing on vinyl. Most people involved get a mention - thanks to everyone, including those who bought it. Still some copies available! patsalternativebustour.com/2026/03/03/l...
I listened and it’s stuck in my head. An indiepop disco classic

Another great story about the love, and strain, of trying to rerelease 'lost' records on vinyl from @unspunheroes.com. This one didn't work out, but I'd say the story says everything about what Simon is so admirably trying to do. unspunheroes.com/2025/12/29/dinky-honey-bourgie-bourgie/
Great video of Double Bluff at the Betsey Trotwood, London two weeks ago. Thanks for sharing this @stringbeanjen.bsky.social, as well as the other three songs you posted www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxUW...

9 tickets left for The Felt Tips and @thejustjoans.bsky.social tonight at Glasgow University Union. Even if you’re not looking for something to do, you won’t regret coming out to this I promise www.tickettailor.com/events/thefe...
Wow!! Doesn’t time fly?!
It’s soon to be the 18-year anniversary of the first time that we ever played with our pals, the Felt Tips.
The year was 2007 and indiepop was all the rage.
Me and the other Felt Tips had such a great night on Saturday at The Betsey Trotwood in London. Thanks to @indiepophalloffame.bsky.social for the photos and to everyone for coming to see us celebrate the reissue of our debut album on @unspunheroes.com
PSA: The Felt Tips are playing in London this coming Saturday in support of the latest release by me, which is their 2010 debut, Living & Growing. DJ Pete Paphides! And @heykidsshop.bsky.social will be there. Possibly with some merch. Come along!

In part 3 of my reflections on Living and Growing, The Felt Tips debut album, I write about some of the trickier aspects of getting a record out as well as the reception the original 2010 release got at a time when indiepop was having a bit of a resurgance patsalternativebustour.com/2025/10/30/l...
The second time you hear a breezy song like this its catchiness can really hit you. I’m going to be humming this all weekend I think
Official video for Flowers by the wonderful Assistant @assistant.bandcamp.com. I love the sparkling guitars on this one very much.

I’ve come to the realisation that I’m going to have to get a job/income to continue to afford pressing semi-obscure albums on vinyl.
Want to help me continue to be a lazy economic layabout? (I’m too old and tired and ill to think about working)

And there's another new Living and Growing review in @clashmusic.com which focuses on such things as the quality of the cut of the vinyl. All I know is it sounds better than ever, although agree packaging and the sleeve notes are great too www.clashmusic.com/features/jus... (scroll down)
First review of reissue of Living and Growing to come in was this one by Bluesbunny who, I'm pleased to learn, appreciates that we "hump the vicar's leg" from time to time. I'm not going to pretend I know exactly what this expression means but it sounds healthy. bluesbunny.com/reviews/revi...
Some great reviews of The Felt Tips reissued debut album coming in, including this one by @rosyoverdrive.com who is as well-informed as always. I imagine they've listened with fresh ears to this, so it's reassuring the songs still land well and that my voice hasn't got worse!
@unspunheroes.com
Wow, great to read this Chris, thanks!

I think the badges arrived perked me up. I've started packaging up the far away international orders for Living & Growing by The Felt Tips, and over the course of this week I'll be packaging up the remainder of those and sending them out.
These look brill even in the photo Simon!
