The "restoration" process the V&A museum went through for the first YouTube video is nuts.

Archive.org source code, reverse engineered SWF player and some old YouTube ads from a DVD in a closet.

Delivered to the museum James Bond style.

I love a cozy hoodie. This one from #DeepMind is cozy and subtle enough to wear outside of the house.

Best team-swag has to be the Nano Banana jumper. Unique design, great box too (I kept it for months, "just in case").

Probably my favourite was this custom @jeffdean.bsky.social and Sanjay Gemmahat Lego set, holding the Map reduce paper. Thanks @developers.google.com!

2025 was a good year for tech swag, so instead of a #Wrapped here are my unsolicited and likely unwelcome top swag drops from the year ๐Ÿงตย

Happy new year folks!

Python 3.15s lazy import syntax should definitely be ยฟimport foo?

US English keyboard users have had it too easy for too long.

How fast is #gemma3 270M out of the box on a @raspberrypi.com 5? About 30 tok/s on CPU for the Q4_0 model using #ollama. Tried using #llamacpp, got about 32 tok/s. ๐Ÿคฏ

Extremely promising for edge compute with no accelerator! Model is only ~250Mb on disk. Can't wait to fine-tune for my IoT projects ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ป

The vectors themselves come from residual activations across every layer in response token generation, then they evaluate which layer is the most important per-trait in order to "subtract evil" or w/e later on, efficiently.

This @anthropic.com paper is a super interesting read from both LLM system automation and the "model maths" PoVs.
