I was a teaching grad student when screens transitioned from “the computer lab” to omnipresent, pushed onto campus by much of the same big money and rhetoric that we are now seeing with AI—we can’t fall behind, it’s inevitable, here’s a huge chunk of cash, etc.

Forget the manosphere. It's angry Leftie women we need to worry about Radicalised by the likes of Greta Thunberg, young females are spurning marriage and capitalism - society as we know it is at risk

we’re so back
What radicalized me?
I lived for a year in Melbourne, AU and six months in Prague, CZ.
Public transportation! Everyone has healthcare! Robust regulations make even the junk food healthier. Better quality of life on every metric.
Privatizing everything has made us the “richest” and so very poor.
DOJ demanded voter files from all 50 states.
DOJ sued 31 states for refusing their demand.
My law firm intervened to protect voters in those cases.
DOJ is now 0-5.
My firm is 5-0.
Lesson: When we fight we win.
Never mind that I died inside when I heard Gorsuch say in Trump v Barbara arguments that there weren't any immigration laws in the 1860s. Taps new book 👇 in which I document the over a century of first colonial then state-level international and domestic migration laws before federalization.
Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito fairly and accurately represent the values and character of the people who put them there and who continue to support them.
As @ninajankowicz.com writes, Brazil's 1988 Constitution "was drafted as an explicit 'never again' to authoritarianism, with clauses restoring judicial safeguards and ironclad separation of powers."
If Americans are brave, resolute, & lucky, we will have a key opportunity to enact reforms in 2029.
Hegseth, who has made the top uniformed leadership almost entirely white male, strikes two female and two Black officers from one-star promotion list over objection of Trump-named Army secretary @gregjaffe.bsky.social Eric Schmitt Helene Cooper @adamentous.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2026/03/27/u...
Important caveat in this excellent story: This is all coming to light because Hegseth received push back from the Army Secretary. Hegseth could well be accomlising the same bigoted purges in other services more quietly.
Welcome back, Darth!
An underdiscussed aspect of this is how much it’s a classic glass ceiling situation: give a woman control over a failing institution so she can be blamed when it collapses.
That Bari deserves it is fun, but she is still being used by misogynist men.
Two things can be true, it’s a glass cliff and also she deserves it
Tim Sweeney on xitter says: “In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of their once in a lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew and the layoff wasn’t a performance based rightsizing as companies call it nowadays. It’s a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the few percent of their discipline.”
I don’t think this is the flex he thinks it is when other companies don’t have any slots left for hiring after he’s fired a thousand people trying to chase Steam. They were your best developers and you still fired them. In this economy.
Additionally, the job market in our industry is already ice cold. Epic firing 1000 people when it makes Fortnite Money will lower the temp to near absolute zero.
Dems need to be on every news channel saying this. Everyday. All day.
*stares longingly at old photos of richmond’s pioneering electric streetcar system, unceremoniously decommissioned in the mid-20th century to make way for private automobiles*
It’s Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Day.
The fact that everyone knows about the Titanic and no one knows about the largest industrial disaster of the era says a lot about our priorities and how we view class and labor
“Not density OR trees, density AND trees.” “Better cities are climate action.” Via the Urban Truth Collective. Background image of very high density street in Yaletown, in downtown Vancouver. Double row of street trees, plus yard trees, plus trees in the bike lane separator, for a total of five rows of trees along the street edge.
Not density OR trees. Density AND trees.
Better cities are climate action. #UrbanTruth

Undo it.
