With direct flights to Greenland now the rage, here are 15 seconds from our 2018 trip. Turn up the sound, that is the wind amd crunching ice. All taken on a very small open cabin boat.
NJ Rep's world premiere 2-hander musical How My Grandparents Fell in Love has lively rom com sugar overlaying a core of "why do they hate us so?" Have a look.

What can written words printed sheets of paper still do? Might the current world need to revive an older form of resistance to avoid easy tracking?

Ezra Klein Sunday NYT piece infuriates. Lynn Nottage's SWEAT said it better decade ago w/warnings from a blue collar vantage pt. Guess Klein not a theater goer. My 1/2016 review's last paragraph pissed off a few. Wish I had been wrong. @theatrecritics.bsky.social

Greenland is so vast, so utterly unique a landscape. The sounds of a glacier calving or drifting bits & pieces of flow ice. These few images are from a 2018 visit. I remember folk asking, "why Greenland?" So much to learn and experience.
Ah BIG NIGHT. For a few moments it made my Bayshore hometown of Keyport, NJ better known beyond its 7000 inhabitants. TY for the memory that I hold so dear. And thanks big time to the location finder folk.
Talk about a song of resistance: This stinging Brecht lyric, itemizing the spoils of the Nazis’ rampage across Europe only to close with the ultimate clapback, was perfectly set by Weill in 1942, long after he’d fled to the U.S. Still packs a punch. #dailysong youtu.be/r8kdxPwZP9I
Current resistance is so splintered. That weakens us. The tough stuff; No agreed upon priorities. No agreed upon strategy. Who is our Brecht for "the" now times?

Natl Symphony once performed works of a Gay Jewish Man and POC at Kennedy Center. Guess patriotic DEI programming days done. But on a dark Monday can NSO members find DC venue to perform/stream for free to take back KenCen? Speak up former Board members

This outrages as Vietnam War vet. Is there no shame? Will people of color & women I served with be disrespected esp by those who did not? Next will the Jewish star I earned on my grave marker no longer be permitted? Where is righteous indignation from Jewish groups? www.facebook.com/share/p/14tv...
Next month; 35 years since Oklahoma City Federal Building Bombing. 168 dead including babies. Now it is mentioned as a building to sell. For those of us old enough to remember & have visited, such a disgrace. Field of empty chairs represent those who perished. Where is the decency or outcry?
In response this question: Who will be "keynote" at upcoming Helen Hayes Awards in DC. Will speeches be muzzled?
Soon it will be 50 years since last US helicopter left Saigon. Millions perished. Will US arts & cultural institutions notice? Shouldn't they?
Reading re-issue of Andrew Dworkin's daring RIGHT-WING WOMEN (1983) has me conjure a learned, contemporary not-forbidden Talmudic duo session of vibrant, engaged debate. Shouldn't Talmud and any of us welcome vigorous debate. Have a read for yourself. www.facebook.com/share/p/1BXs...
A proposal: How DC area theater community might help those recently purged from their jobs. Shouldn't they?

DC area is way different than US.Firings of Fed workers, newly cold feet of private developers needs to be explored.DC area was America's 2nd largest theater town. Now what?
Don't agree KenCen so "central" to DC's cultural life. Maybe for high rollers, business acct types, tourists & small % of DMV. There are 75 professional theater companies in area; they produce cultural touchstones. Several Regional Tony winners. Question: what will their 25-26 seasons be. Ask around
