CDC won’t publish report showing covid shots cut likelihood of hospital visits The report, which had cleared the agency’s scientific-review process, had been delayed. It now won’t be published at all, people familiar with the decision told The Post.

SCOOP: Two weeks ago, the head of the CDC delayed publication of a report showing covid vaccine cut likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations by half. Now that report is no longer allowed to be published in CDC’s flagship scientific journal. My latest. 1/2

It’s too bad he wasn’t asked to run the military then, and he was too bonespurred to merely serve.

A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

The Ghirardelli sundae in San Francisco is pretty great, but it’s much more expensive than the excellent churro you can get at a San Jose Giants game, which is served to you from a Rubbermaid plastic drawer.

What the death of Direct File tells us about state capacity We CAN have nice things - if we want them

Trump, Musk & Co. killed the beloved IRS "direct file" aid for taxpayers, and then — "You will never guess who also proposed an IRS app to help for Americans file their taxes." Follow Musk's $. Absolutely maddening, for #TaxDay, from @donmoyn.bsky.social. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/what-the-d...

My dad worked for the USGS. He liked Carter, so we liked Carter. He despised Reagan, so we did too. Never understood the love for that destructive doofus.

I pointed out a fact about Al Franken’s situation. If that is inconvenient for you, that’s your problem. Why do you want to protect any politician who abuses their power?

I visited a house in Normandy last year as part of a D-Day tour. Previous owners had discovered these murals on walls under a layer of paint. It’s always interesting, and chilling, to see how villains represent themselves.

Wow ABC7 caught someone illegally paying homeless in the Tenderloin to forge fake signatures on the Building A Better CA petition. (This is the petition paid for by billionaires who are attempting to block the tax.) p.s. youtu.be/PBMxmBWvwUs

Op-ed: USDA Canceled $300 Million in Contracts for First-Generation Farmers. What a Waste. The USDA has canceled $300 Million in contracts to support first-generation farmers, abandoning farmers like me.

Gifford Pinchot built the Forest Service from scratch...to ensure that America’s forests would be managed by trained professionals in the public interest."

Racist Rupert Murdoch lookalike sits at a table with two men. In front of him is a plate full of cookies. The white man to his right wears a hard hat. In front of him is a plate with one cookie on it. The brown man to his left has no plate at all. Rupert says, to the hard hat wearer, “Careful mate, that foreigner wants your cookie.”

The left has not caused this problem. The right’s embarrassing embodiment of this meme for the past few decades is the cause of this problem.
