I think I just miss writing code and bashing on a problem alone or with someone, without being pulled left and right all the time.

I miss the times when I was a mid level software engineer or a senior. It was nice not to have to context switch hundreds of times a day.

I like visiting Monterey and I considered moving there but it's just unaffordable. I might be leaving Bay Area this year because I'm tired of having to maintain a high paying job in order to afford COL.
