Yeah maybe I’m just seeing more about it bc the game is more “clippable” than most. But I feel like I’ve just seen a bunch of posts about ppl who don’t really know anything about pirating getting hacked trying to emulate this game.
I Don’t feel bad for them at all, and I’m not saying people shouldn’t pirate the game. Mainly just commenting on how strangely “mainstream” it feels for this game.
Also, idrc about piracy like that, video games are expensive I get it. It just seems like a strange cultural shift with this game specifically where “casuals” who don’t normally pirate are frothing at the mouth and getting hacked trying to play this game.
I think it’s kind of weird how widespread and mainstream the piracy of the new tomodachi life has been.
Niche series people have been begging for a new entry for like a decade, available on Switch 1, $60. I feel like if there was one Nintendo game to financially support rn it would be this one.

From everything I know, not really. I’m also a bit of an outsider on this series which is why I find the “mythical” status of its lore to be confusing.
Idk like maybe Poppy’s Playtime doesn’t need to be held to the same standard as something like Severance.
Idk how to accurately describe it but: the theorizing, the discourse, giving stories more credit than they probably deserve, everything has to be deeper than it seems, writers shuffling stories to meet or subvert expectations.
I think FNAF fundamentally changed the way a lot of people approach and talk about popular media in a way that kinda sucks.
Show about a kid being an outcast because he is fat and ugly. The shows solution/message? The kid gets handsome and buff by grinding in an Isekai forest for like 20 minutes in the first episode and then everyone likes him. Just be handsome and buff so people stop bullying you, stupid!

My memory of the milk thing was that it was supposed to be unsettling but kept on the dl. Now it’s just constantly thrown around for cheap jokes and announced to everyone constantly. It just felt especially odd the way they’ve used it in these first 2 episodes.
It’s hard to say if it’s always been like this because I’ve been watching The Boys as it comes out for the past like 5 or 6 years and haven’t seen the older seasons in a minute.
But I feel like Homelander in the past couple seasons has been pretty flanderized with the milk thing.
