Fair enough. He didn’t want any awkward questions from his wife about what he’d bought off Love Honey after checking their bank statement, did he?

Another birthday present that’s fairly close to the bone. 😂
Thank you!
Honest opinions? How would you feel about a colleague who was on maternity leave being made redundant? (It is legal)
It’s my birthday tomorrow. Not one to make a fuss but as I’m early turn Thursday, the beer came tonight instead.
Didn’t mind it to start with and I don’t even mind the odd IPA now (classic style), but the very hoppy contemporary ones all sort of taste the same.
Today that approach has royally bitten them on the arse. If it could break, it did.
The people that liked their beers dark and malty don’t brew anymore?
Even here in a fairly rural but of the south it’s wall to wall IPAs, NIPAs etc. And so many craft breweries in barns making hop juice.
I left work broken and I’ll return to it broken after 12 away. Not me broken. Work. But also me.
Finding and drinking a pint of mild these days is almost insurgent.
Limping through nights feeling like I’ve got razor blades in my throat is not the one. Perhaps it is time to think about moving on.
I speak of the 1990s like my mother used to about the 1970s. I figure you’re really getting old when you’ve got your own golden era of the past to wax lyrical about. Yes, weren’t Boyzone, Eric Cantona and Windows 95 just awesome.
⬆️or⬅️ That’s me. In my natural habitat.
Not dropping a selfie. Don’t like selfies.
Neil Sedaka singing Who Wants to be a Millionaire on prime time Saturday night television and Mystic Meg bringing the weird. What a time to be alive.
Mum: I won £10 in June
Dad: Anthea Turner is bloody everywhere
Me: I hope they pick Guinevere again
Been sanding skirting boards all morning. Feel like I might finally be earning my man badge. Later this week I’ll be painting it teal green and applying pink and gold accents and accessories (not my choice - I was just the rubber stamp).
Burger King car parks are more atmospheric in Switzerland. And this is before we even get going on the cheap beef with a bit of Gruyère on top…
Station staff whenever a kettle is due through:
Ah yes but we’d been sat there for nearly 3 hours so the kids has a decent viewpoint and I could’ve done with another layer!
Remember, remember it’s sodding cold in November. #Lindfield #Sussex #BonfireNight
Toothache. Dentist. Hooray.
It’s nice to finally reach this point.
There always used to be a relationship between the parallel tracks of the symbol and the lowercase x-height; this is nonsense (just like making the whole symbol the same as cap-height, which makes the symbol too small)
Suppose it’s Rail Alphabet 2 so could be worse :)
That is of course, hypothetical, but maybe a potential future player to take into account. I just can’t imagine it leaving that market alone.
Hypothetically, will Great British Railways not seek a piece of the action when it exists? I think we’re currently viewing GBR as likely to be the sum of its existing parts, but it’ll be big and I can see it using the clout to expand its reach, specifically towards HS1 if given the freedom to do so.
SNCF should consult British Airways before trying anything. Didn’t work out so well for them when they took Branson on…
Taking a pic of the brew I just made because I’m just back from a trying early turn and it’s grey and autumnal out.
Bottle of bonfire boy ale, glow sticks Ava a pack of sparklers on my kitchen worktop
Getting ready for Wednesday night. It’s a serious business in this part of Sussex.
