I do like advanced technology, given you're using a computer it seems you like it too. And I also enjoy productivity and AI applications are increasing productivity in many areas.

But let me guess, you think "AI" means "LLM chat bots"? ๐Ÿ™„

Not my post, but thanks for playing.

And within those categories you see a few hundred out of possibly hundreds of thousands of posts. You think it's just random the slice you get served?

So you can't support your delusional statements, that is certainly not surprising. Lucky for you I enjoy laughing at absurd dogmatists, so enjoy the free attention I suspect you crave.

So you think "AI" is somehow linked to "nazi pedophiles"? Wow, that's some leap of faith you have there. How's the deep end of the crazy pool?

AI is a set of mathematical and data science techniques, it isn't "owned" by any group or company. Nor does it require "plagiarism" to function.

To the algorithms behind social media, absolutely. The algorithm doesn't judge the importance of the content, only the likelihood of content generating engagement.

Given how married the GOP is to convicted felon, war criminal and child rapist they might even lose in their recently gerrymandered districts.

I really hope the gerrymandering adventures of the GOP backfire. We need anti-gerrymandering laws nation wide.

As a social media user, have you ever posted an image you didn't create yourself? Did YOU pay a royalty?

So is it okay for you to steal artists work, just not for an AI to do the same?

AI has no necessity to use large amount of water, if water is scare in your region pass laws requiring that data centers use recirculating cooling systems.

PS: we need data centers regardless of "AI", they are the infrastructure of the future.

Such a well reasoned response, hard to argue with that. ;)

When AI solved protein folding and that, as an example, made it possible to develop a Covid vaccine in less than a year was that "bad" because AI was used?

People want to blame the education system, but honestly it is Social Media and the Internet that are to blame. Whether our society values knowledge isn't something schools control, they only teach knowledge and it's up to our communities to VALUE that knowledge.

Probably, yeah. Do an experiment and find out, post:

1) witty phrase with just text
2) same phrase with some stock photo
3) same phrase with custom AI image

See which gets the most views, replies, interaction, etc. I bet it's #3, you're here after all.

No "tool" is good or bad, only how we USE that tool can be good or bad. AI is just a tool.

We thought putting the totality of human knowledge online and available at our fingertips would make humanity smarter.

It turns out that when knowledge was hard to find it was also valued more deeply, now that it's easy to find it feels cheap and easier to ignore or deny that knowledge.

Yup, which is where feet running perpendicular to the panel rows are optimal for opposing that force. Also the leading edge panel largely blocks the wind for the remaining panels.

I believe the uplift force (i.e. Bernoulli forces) is proportional to the horizontal surface area and not the vertical surface area. A panel in the traditional "flat to the roof" would maximize uplift force, a panel rotated 90ยฐ from the roof plane should minimize uplift forces.

Very cool, so hard to see otherwise.

I'm not that familiar with roof mounting, but I gather they commonly have legs that run perpendicular to the direction of the panels so they are very stable. In ground installation you can just drive posts into the ground to withstand any wind force.

Yes, the rows run north-south. This actually provides a much better power curve as you get more morning and evening power rather than a high mid-day max that requires more battery storage to be available as needed.

In my area evening power is more expensive so these give better value.

I'm a big fan of vertical bifacial solar as something that could be installed on crop and grazing land.

He can't resign, then he'd face sentencing for his 34 felon convictions as well as prosecution for his war crimes and grift.

The fact that convicted felon, war criminal and child rapist Taco Trump doesn't have a zero poll rating just proves how vile and disgusting his right wing "Christian" worshippers are.

First we get an orange "president", now we have orange sharks. Coincidence? I doubt it! Maybe Taco Trump not only rapes little girls but also fish?

Convicted felon and child rapist Taco Trump is invested in oil companies. He doesn't CARE about gas prices or the American economy, only his own personal investments.

Worst toilet ever, zero privacy.

Not at all, I don't have a problem with the concept that society is better off with some criminals dead. I just cannot tolerate that power being used when there is any doubt whatsoever, or being used in racist.biased ways. Our government has proven it cannot wield that power appropriately.

Gee, who would have guess that people who spend all day on social media and never go out into the real world wouldn't have any real friends. I just can't imagine why that might be.

Good, if he sues them they can perform discovery and get all the proof their claims are true.

"Sir, they have the president!"

"Oh no, now I have to figure out the perfect thank-you gift for them! Quick, to the mall!"

Electric boat, sweet. I really hope Rivan is successful, I even invested in their stock. Their cars seem great, I like the styling, but they still aren't really making money selling them yet.
