Scissors are why I avoid jigsaw puzzles… they’re too tempting.

I may hold the record for being the least patient human on earth. You should see me attempt to untangle cords.
I once asked a small liberal arts college if they could scan a file for me and, after questioning how I knew about it (WorldCat), they responded that it was on microfilm. I asked if they minded sending it to my local library. They were so thrilled to be asked. Upon return they thanked me profusely.
Oy.
“A majority of the water consumed by farms in the [California’s Imperial] valley goes to members of just 20 extended families.”
You’re sure asking for a lot.

Very important reporting. blog.idahoreports.idahoptv.org/2023/11/10/f...
You may be more patient than I am. 😉
Oof.
Gestating seems to be the name of the game in publishing these days.
What did we all do to deserve this?
What in the world just happened on the north side of Chicago and why did David Ross deserve it? Baseball is a strange business.
There was also something about Amy Coney Barrett that was along these lines, but I can’t quite remember what. Palin’s had something to do with their church and snake charming or some such thing.
I feel like we do this every few years. Remember when it was the Palins’ unconventional church?
I thought the same.
Aaron Judge is 31 years old. I’m sure his foundation is lovely but Miguel Cabrera is retiring and has spent two decades supporting the communities where he lives and his home country. Fans should not have a say in the Roberto Clemente Award. Miggy deserved to go out with this award.
Mushrooms?! The off duty pilot was on ‘shrooms?
Awwww 😍
YIKES
Thanks, Mike.
This is now two pandemic-era projects that have fallen through for me. I assume this is normal.
Especially in the parts of the PNW you fly in.
The project I signed onto the month Covid arrived in the U.S. is finally past the reviewer stage with the publisher and the press has decided to drop the chapters of the anthology that were written about singular women. Mine is out. As is that of a historian I really admire. Bummer.
And I can identify precisely one by sight.
You will be amazing!
I feel like Patrick McHenry is already the black ball and is hiding behind the drapes as they slowly get down to the last ball.
Reading Stacey Abrams’ “Rogue Justice” is giving me a good idea why SAG-AFTRA and a small group of congressmen are so concerned with AI. 😬
“The most popular”?! 🤣
If I was a bodega cat, I would find the shelf with the bags of marshmallows and have a nice, comfy snooze. @bodegacats.bsky.social
