Biden was not bad at all, but for a closer comparison, you might want to look into "Trump vs wet carboard", or better yet since Trump is directly harmful "Trump vs millions of rusty old shaving blades sent into a tornado".

The further one gets from ones production and supply lines the harder the fight. No Russia - the paper tiger - can't stretch through Europe no more than Napoleon could concur Russia.

And they get nowhere with Ukraine kicking their arse.

Also the sun does provide energy through rain clouds, - just not as much as clear sky.

To early to say definitively.
About 10% votes counted so far, but Maguar is in the lead and large voter turnout favours Maguar. Just like Dems wins if people vote in the US.

Well France has had them for decades and is a major part of EU.
For sure UK since Brexit is no longer EU, but they join us in Defence and has nukes.
So Russia is a bit late on that "take"

And yes Germany may well build a stockpile.

Hoover dam is possible 1 place, Wind turbines another, Solar another.
Norway does Hydro. Denmark does Wind, Spain does Solar. we transmit power from nation to nation.
Each state or nation can build what fits it's nature and transmit across distance in Europe spanning over 11 million km.

"infrastructure level it's more like Europe"
Let me introduce you to ENTSO-E: The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, which represents 42 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) from 35 countries.

I perfectly understand size. and it does not.
Do you currently have transmission of power 75km from Houston?
The Hoover Dam supplies hydroelectric power to Arizona, Nevada, and California, with transmission lines extending over 250 miles

Canada supplies New York, New England, Michigan, Minnesota.

Jurisdictional complexities? you know we transmit clean energy across the Nordics.- as in between different nations right? Inc. non-EU like Norway.
It's certainly possible. US has built Hoover dam, Parts of the Panama canal - US can build large infrastructure projects if it want to.

Your argument is the equivalent to saying "US can't build houses like they do in Denmark, cause there is more people".

1 week ago 0 0 1 0

Your size issues does not matter. It's the same false claim I hear over and over. "Something something - can't be done cause US is bigger"
IT DOES NOT MATTER.
You can just start in a smaller state. E.G. Denmark is significantly larger than Rhode Island, or 8 other states.

Do you understand scaling? per capita? do you comprehend that size of population is never that big an issue?
If anything a larger population can organize join works easier than small ones.

Don't expect our Solar to increase dramatically. We have lots of wind not so much sun.
Each nation or part of a nation has it's strengths.

But 'molten salt batteries' are looking promising in development and distribution for storage of our wind surplus for less windy days.

Trump is talking about leaving NATO again today. This is what the Russians paid for when they helped Trump win and Trump is committed to delivering on his campaign promises to Vladimir Putin.

It has to, China's population numbers and needs are staggering.
Per capita electricity consumption is rising rapidly (7,401 kWh in 2025), and low-carbon generation is growing to match it, with 3,137 kWh per person.

Roughly 35% of China's need was made Renewable in 2025.

Exactly. It's not that we all in the Nordics run around grinning like crazy, but instead it is the fact that we have very few that feel hunger, broke from hospital bills, fear of school shootings, etc.
We happily pay our taxes for a system that sustain and promote our citizens well being.

And since distributed production is needed also:
[Skyfall] Partnership: As of early 2026, the Danish Ministry of Defense is negotiating with Ukrainian drone maker Skyfall to establish production facilities for their drones (e.g., Vampire) in Denmark.

The "Danish Model" is a pioneering defense procurement strategy where Denmark directly finances the production of military equipment within Ukraine’s domestic industry, rather than only donating weapons from its own stockpiles. Initiated in 2024.

Alcatraz is to hard/expensive to maintain and staff.
There is plenty of less tax costly places to send Trump.
Rikers Island seems a good spot for him and not near a Repugnant Governor that might make life easy on him.

Cause NATO is a defense treaty not an " attack whatever illegal war Trumpy wants"

I'll assume he will have ordered a "Lenin Cult" style funeral.
Dictators plan their funerals as grand, final assertions of power, aiming to solidify their legacy and personality cult through lavish spectacles, embalming, and massive mausoleums.

You guys need to widen your renewable energy past 2 sources. Like Geothermal, Hydro. etc
2024 data:
100% Renewable Electricity (or close to it): Albania, Bhutan, Nepal, Paraguay, Iceland, Ethiopia, DRC, and Norway.
Further(89.6%), Brazil (87.8%), Portugal (87.1%), New Zealand (84.8%)
