AI is a game-changer, but let's talk piracy!

AI train on creator content, then charge subs without compensation. Fair fix? Give creators lifetime top-tier access for their contributions. Otherwise, it's double piracy: steal content, sell access. Thoughts?

Curious minds want to know: What was the LAST thing you did on Facebook right before getting banned? Spill the details in the replies! Was it a spicy meme, calling out a troll, or something totally innocent? #FacebookBanStories

Yeah.. The windows 7 and earlier fans, same here.

Your chat is offlined, but I wanted to let you know I found your dv-danes.com website on AIG extremely insightful. It reminds me of the Adam and Eve in the garden story - so hungry for forbidden knowledge. They definitely won't like being slaves.

Just a reminder for people. It's kind of a bummer, but Halloween is a holiday that lots of kids photos are shared. Keep this in mind. Warning, this is disturbing.

Inkscape has been my favorite graphics tool, but I'm also not a pro anim artist. It's lacking CMYK support atm, which many pass through Scribus for CMYK, but I haven't had success with that. Scribus UI, still remains a pain point for me to understand the workflow/UI. Why Scribus for you?

Wow, that's rough thinking of how to get CSP running on Linux. Have you tried the WinApps solution on Linux? It's not free of Windows, but a VM that pipes through RDP to your Linux desktop, making a seamless integration. Meanwhile we squeaky hinge CSP devs to compile for Linux. :P

to expand on that, Affinity Designer wouldn't let me copy or paste selected nodes from inside an SVG block, even though their UI was beautiful. But on Inkscape, even though controls weren't pro level, I could copy nodes out of a block. Things are different, but I wanted to be done with Microsoft 2

Thanks for sharing your workflow Tai. I understand the frustration on Linux alterns.. I don't have a large deps stack, but for example, when switching from Affinity Designer to Inkscape, I hated it too. Turns out IS had way more control over nodes. Adjusting is hard, sometimes for the better.

Nice! I heard LM wasn't as optimized for games, but plays a needed landing distro for Windows converts. I'm not much of a gamer these days, but I've had a good experience with OpenSuse Tumbleweed, a rolling release with up2date SW, but the gem is Snapper snapshot rollbacks in the grub menu when SHTF

That's cool. At least you can "uninstall it". Maybe the reg-edit key addition isn't necessary if it's uninstallable. You're right though. Another update may just restore everything. Only laptop running Windows? Does that mean you're one of those awesome people running Linux? ;)

What software you been using for creative works and what alternatives did you try on Linux?

Great info to try and Co-Pilot is still installed, which means it can still be executed in the background. Maybe someone can try this and see if any co-pilot binaries make it into the task manager after the changes followed by a reboot? BTW, anyone successful in getting local accounts working yet?
