Last weekend was spent refreshing winter skills on a Mountaineering Scotland course. 32 years since the first time I’d done a winter skills it was worthwhile. gained a few great tips from the instructors. Great to meet a bunch of fun people and climb a windy Stob Coire Raineach.

First Munro Monday of the year yesterday on Geal Charn,
Monadhliath. Little snow below 700m. Not much more above. Wind at the edge of comfort today. Had to shelter behind the top and hold onto the phone. It wanted to fly.. 199/282

15/11/25 Conival and Ben More Assynt. Estimated “feels like temp -13” was probably accurate 🥶 high wind on Conival was replaced by eerie silence on the ridge to Ben More assynt. Despite views from the tops a great day in the north west. #munros #Scotland #highlands #mountains

Frost in Braemar this morning but then a lovely few hours before high cloud moved in & wind increased, still a fine day for the hill though. Went up Beinn A Bhuird from Linn Of Quoich. Fine views of Ben Avon still bathed in sunlight from the Summit.

A lovely ridge leads up onto Beinn Iadain a lovely quiet hill in Morvern. Was very gusty wind at the top last week when we did it, but overall great weather. #scotland #hills #hiking
