Programmers/ Engineers: The most recent piece of technology I own is a printer from 2004 and keep a loaded gun ready to shoot it if it ever makes an unexpected noise.

IMHO this is why voters don’t trust democratic politicians. They are just as likely to gut your union representation as much as or more so than republicans. If I were a VA voter, I would certainly remember this come election night when she’s on the ballot.
