Great idea. Some issues would arise but that’s an engineering problem.

This is why we need municipalities to adopt the PACE plan I’m proposing. 34.9% is a starting point not the final destination of our power rates.

My solar plan, I developed myself without any help from anyone! I am totally responsible. (Except I took all the idea from the PACE program from municipalities in Nova Scotia).

I have solar myself, I am seeing the difference. No person who has solar would ever go back. Pay NB power, pay yourself!

I’m rolling out my Solar Plan. I have solar, I’ve seen the benefits and the hurdles. Right now, the system only works for some.
That’s where leadership comes in.
Over the next 3 days: how we fix this, without costing taxpayers more. OK I stole the PACE plan from NS

Pay NB Power… or Pay Yourself.

was it tough?

My property will be returned, we will move the sign down a bit farther. Thanks for all who called me, reached out and were concerned. 3/3

We had a bit of a back and forth on what constitutes an election sign, and I was given some space on that.
It was agreed that I should have been notified, and that was the plan, but the efficiency of DTI was better than expected! And who can say that is a negative thing! 2/3

*** UPDATE UPDATE!*** I was called this morning, and am exceptionally pleased with the outcome. They did have concerns with line of sight, I disagree but understand, seeing as I am not civil engineer, of course I will comply. 1/x

I still don’t know where they are.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

That is legit, if it was too distracting, fair. I heard that about other signs too (lighted ones 640). Then typically there’s compliance notice given to rectify. Move, remove etc with the act or law referenced. Not taken!

If (?) there was a problem, I should have been told & given a chance to fix it, not have my signs removed outright. That aligns with how enforcement is normally expected to work in these situations.

If I become Mayor, should I be able to take things without notice, or is that a provincial thing?

ABSOLUTELY! The regulation requiring permits for temporary advertisements explicitly does not apply to election signs under subsection 10(2). Therefore, no permit or ministerial approval is required. The only remaining consideration is safety & that standard must be applied consistently to all signs

The Province w/out any contact to me, took down my election signs Route 640 is not an access-controlled highway.
Election signs are permitted within the right-of-way, as long as they meet safety requirements. They did not block line of sight. This is political interference! They are Christmas Lights!

And all the Cons need to do is convince some libs to come to them. But can they?

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

In theory it’s a great idea but fruitless. Parties leave MP/MLA all the time. It’s up to party leadership to make sure a big enough tent. The cons went right. The libs more center/PC, and in theory the NDP have an opportunity.

I have no problem with floor crossings. The next election solves it.

We currently have a company who uses a truck and a trailer, and people throw the garbage bags on the trailer (High walls, like the 90's). With a traditional garbage they dump or use lift arms.

So now every small bagged item has to be put into larger bags, instead of in the bins.

I of course waited until after the end of world debate of last night to bring forward my garbage plan for Hanwell.

15 min to the grand finale. If we go to war I hope it is under the current mayors tenure. That way I can campaign against it…. And Trudeau.

This is both exceptionally funny, and very disconcerting at the same time.

Because your experience matters too!

People who know me know this didn’t start as politics. It started with something simple, and something that didn’t make sense. We have a school… and children living across and away from it… without safe ways to get there, even though the school has bike racks!

In my platform to be Mayor I plan on implementing the PACE program. Where we will help using property, get people signed up for renewable energy. It currently isn’t in NB but ought to be!!

We’re not disconnected by choice, we’re designed that way.
The Hanwell Active Loop changes that. Safe. Connected. Accessible. For kids, families, and seniors.

I disagree. In those cases we need to share the success stories to show the way for them too!

My point is, while procedurally it’s a lot like workman’s comp, some
Veterans suffer more than we see. So reporting stories like this help inform those seeking help, clarity. Fairness, particularly because some of these members who served us are vulnerable.

A bud of mine did the 92-93 Bosnian tour, I heard the gruesome stories, my false young stupid bravado acting excited. I had another bud have to kill a kid.

These things don’t just affect the members who take the actions it’s in the zeitgeist of those “waiting” on the next tour. It’s institutional.

I used to think not getting a tour when I served was the biggest slap in the face I could get. Older now I see it was the biggest blessing.

Richard I 100% disagree with you. These stories are for those struggling who physically & mentally sacrificed. Sharing this story helps others who need help!

I agree. Frankly any gift under $100 should not be reported specifically, outside of “Gift Under $100”.

Kids at school may gift you a dog statue or a school jersey.

But a registry should be filed not for public consumption just the same.

Transparency is sunlight. Sunlight is good governance.

Here is my platform. I believe together we can achieve more, by working collaboratively, not secretly. I will be talking about some of these ideas over the next few weeks. Talking about my conversations door to door.
