I had a great weekend

A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.

In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."

I'm at a point with UPS that I decided I'd prefer to spend 3+ hours of my day on public transport and pick up my package from their pickup point behind God's back, rather than give them a 4th chance to fuck up the delivery I've anxiously waited every waking hour for 3 full days now.

The way the jester sprawls over and pins the knight is horrifying. It's so gruesome, I love it.

For real, D&D feels like such a chore to plan for. I may still return to it, but only for very short adventures.

Oh naw, not for a while now. Been running lighter systems like SWADE and Delta Green, the rules don't get in the way but I still find myself procrastinating and then whipping something up with too little time and stressing about it.

Even that one had a couple of sketchy sessions that didn't feel fulfilling (especially considering the effort I put into them) and I feel like I didn't give the players enough opportunities to fulfill their own characters either. The ending was a real banger though, so I'm happy the way it ended.

I may need a proper break from DMing, I kinda struggled to finish this 10 session game because my heart just wasn't in it. I miss having real inspiration for games, but I know I tend to run out of steam 5 sessions in regardless. Hrmm.
