Effects of hypoxia on the olfactory sensitivity of gilt-head seabream (Sparus aurata) Highlighted Article: Electrophysiology shows that low external oxygen levels can impair the olfactory sensitivity of a coastal marine fish species.

🐟 New paper out where we show that aquartic hypoxia affects the olfaction of marine fish! Work by @liamtigert.bsky.social during a @biologists.bsky.social travelling fellowship to work at CCMar with Peter Hubbard

From 1.5C to 2C of global warming is an increase by 33.3 percent. Many people assume that the negative impacts of this would also increase by only 33.3 percent. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The increase is non-linear.
This is one of the biggest missing pieces in public climate literacy.
