Strong performance by DC Power. They took advantage of a 10th minute red card for Fort Lauderdale, ramped up the pressure, and romped to a 4-0 victory.

Thanks, Dave!
Disappointed that DC didn't come away with a point today. DC wasn't great in the first half, but was improved and slightly the better side for much of the second half (after Hopkins and Pirani entered), I thought.
What an amazing gift to the world was Red Dwarf. RIP, Rob, and many thanks.
A rocky outcrop in the centre of the scene, with boulders and pebbles scattered around. In the distance, some gently rolling hills, and endless sand. All under a butterscotch sky.
You live in a time when you can see on your phone high-res photos taken over the weekend by a nuclear-powered rover on Mars.
Perhaps. Howard played here on 11/22.
It remains ever-present at Audi (and at Capital One Arena, for that matter), much to my chagrin.
...and here we go. Another season is underway.
FYI, my new season ticket is just around the corner from my old one (was sec. 120, now sec. 122).
Cheers! Vamos!
Hoping they had a few draining long flights even if the game didn't take much effort.
Brings back some good Charleston memories.
Enjoyed the new pod. I agree that Baltimore is not an MLS Next Pro city. DCU is hurting its own team (lack of development) for a pipe dream that doesn't even make sense. It is a blind spot that is a real negative mark against our ownership.
Yeesh, I was halfway through my 20s that year. Feck.
Jellyfish's second (and final) album was released 2/9/93. I've always loved that beautiful power pop. Wow, I'm old.
New Capital City Soccer podcast logo.
Another good pod. Thanks. FYI, at least on my phone on Spotify the new logo isn't displaying correctly (banner is cut off).
Ticket stub for AC/DC concert at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans on February 3, 1991.
The only time I saw AC/DC was the next night at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Good stuff. Thanks, @blazindw.bsky.social!
@capitalcitysoccer.bsky.social Enjoyed the lasted pod. FYI, from MLS roster rules, "To remove a U22 Initiative Slot classification, a club may... loan the player outside of MLS...." Good news there.
Normally I wouldn't mind a chance at a Power weekend game (DCU is away to Chicago, so no conflict there) though I plan to be at Awesome Con that weekend, as well. Will be interesting to see what date we get for the Power game.
A chance of full coverage if multiple teams were interested because a factor in assignment is "which club is willing to absorb a Salary Budget Charge that is meaningfully higher than other clubs and at least $15,000 higher than Senior Minimum Salary." Fingers crossed we can use a waiver elsewhere.
Is there anything that indicates Chatlotte is not paying the whole salary for Schnegg? The release just says "Schnegg remains on a contract that is guaranteed through 2026 with a Club option in 2027" with no indication they are paying a discount rate.
A starfield. At lower left, a bright star, and a smaller companion. Home.
See that larger white blob at lower left, and the smaller blob to its right?
That's Earth and the Moon.

@brucedunord.bsky.social Bruce, I thought you might have an interest in this DCU podcast with an interview with Sean Sittnick. He's now with DCU, though the interview includes a little discussion of his 12 years with Minnesota United. Good stuff from @capitalcitysoccer.bsky.social.
DC made a permanent hire in July. Are you considering him otherwise because his GM was since fired? NE made a recent hire and Montreal made their interim into their regular hire. Am I missing something on the none or interim list?
Major League Band performing on a stage next to the basketball court at CareFirst Arena while the referees and Capital City Go-Go warm up on the court before a game.
Time for the Capital City Go-Go home opener!
Major League Band with the pre-game/halftime entertainment.
This is a dust devil... on Mars.
