Well, I am still painting and stuff. Currently working on about 900 points of Chaos Space Marines and deciding on the next project after that.
I also started playing WoW again, really enjoying the next expansion.

The shading is just so *fun* on this guy!
I love the posing. Like he is gripping with his hand and the claw is mimicking his movements.
The shoulder pad does stick out here, but honestly, that is a fun level of contrast.
I almost only used one metal color and I quickly realized that was a mistake! The bronze really looks great here!

Where I ended up tonight-ish. I did the steel color after this.
I made the right call on this scheme, omg.
I started with the green, and while I need some better control, it is BEAUTIFUL.
The beautiful blends that came from literally just tapping a sponge and layering is AMAZING.
Okay, so I fell in love with sponging as a technique.
I am so glad I picked up a 32 pack of makeup sponge wedges for under $2, because why not?
Let's take this to the next level!
I don't think he is *quite* done yet, but I have to think about how I would go about working on that part.
The gold armor was deceptively easy. Gold with a purple wash, then reinforcing the recesses with brown and picking out the brightest spots with another gold. Pretty!
He looted a screaming shield from the Kruleboyz, and loves to harass their fingas as they stalk their swamps!
All of the weathering here was fun to play with, because I actually find doing that really hard!
This is my 100th painted mini for the year!
He is Da Great Gold Git, more of a force of destruction for Da Dank Uns in Ghyran. He is an ancient grot that was consumed by da shroomz, but still lives to follow the Bad Moon!

I tried doing the robes a bit differently here and I think they look okay, but not great. More cloth practice is needed! Where do I get that... Hmm...
I always love these shields. The Captain with Relic Shield will be fantastic to paint too!

If we get more Neo-Volkite weapon options in the future, I'm going to have to redo my recipe. This one looks okay, but I need to build upon that. I want this thing to look white hot.

I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed putting Abaddon together! That was so nice!
My Chapter Master was fun too, but more for the fact that I needed to dig for the right parts!
I started with a base Jump Pack Captain. I wanted a power weapon and plasma pistol, but the kit options just weren't doing it for me!
To the bits box! And that led to me chopping his arms to have a Stormcast spear and a Hellblasters plasma pistol, with switched hands! And of course I had to add a few gubbins!
As I head into a week of vacation, I started it off right by building my Abaddon (mostly, at least the subassemblies) and kitbashing my Chapter Master!
I have my first game for this break tomorrow, then I will probably be painting and building a ton!

I actually forgot to paint the blood on the knife when I was wrapping up! I started cleaning up and noticed that the blood was still painted white!

There are 2 main things to learn with Stampin' Plates. The pick up and the placement! I'm hoping I eventually learn how to do this well!
It's weird exactly how long these guys have been "done" but I hadn't shared them out.

I had already started clean-up when I realized that I hadn't painted the blood on the LT with Combi! Oops!
Got these guys painted and varnished last night.
Today, I am going to attempt round 2 of stamp tests, then will probably give them their matte varnish layer, along with the rest of my painted models.

The mud ends up a magenta-ish color when it's done. I try to get a little spatter on the boots though!
