A bag with a carabiner with a collapsible water bottle, fold up blanket and fold up shopping bag, with a lightstand held underneath by straps.
The internals of the bag in the first picture. Tripods, microphones, recorders and accessories are littered onto a table.
I just finished up a small field recording bag! 🎤
I wanted something I could take with me on a hike/to a park that wasn't too heavy that I could capture some quick sounds on. Super stoked with how it came out!

Dude, keeping all of my Pokémon games from when I originally had them would have been worth their weight in gold. The price of Platinum had me thinking about all of this for a bit haha

I know the Pokemon Company isn't on this site yet, but just wanted to give a solid "Thank You" for all the memories and experiences.
I know they're little games mainly meant for a child-aged audience, but man, they're good.

I mainly wanted to do this for me, to prove that I could stay focused and determined on a large task for a while. But I also wanted it as something to pass down to a future child of mine someday if they also get into Pokemon like I did.
I'm still a bit from that time, but I think it would be neat!

It was the first game that my wife and I played together when we started dating nearly 12.5 years ago.
With a new Pokemon game comes another chance at connecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

As someone born in 1995, nearly my whole life has been Pokemon.
It was the first cartoon I can remember watching.
I used to wake up my dad as a two-year old by jumping on his bed and calling him a Snorlax.
The first game I beat (Pokemon Yellow).

So now it's over. Not really, because new games and more Pokemon will always come, but as far as for me for now, everything I can get has been got.

Now, if you do this the sane way, where you just want to catch all of the Pokemon possible and not necessarily from the original game/generation, I would definitely suggest that!
Here's everything youd need for that.

Absolutely not.
The amount of games needed and having to buy from eBay becuase these games no longer exist at retailers, the systems needed, the amount of time that I could have spent doing literally anything else is by no means an unsubstantial amount.
Here's everything I needed.

All in all, this took around four months of on/off playing to complete the Living-Origin Dex and around two weeks-ish of ProGamerHyperFocusMode to complete the other Home Dexes.
Now, would I recommend doing this the way I did?

And the one I finished today:
Sword/Shield + DLCs - Shiny Keldeo

I actually completed my Living-Origin Dex two weeks ago, the original 1,025 I set out to catch.
From then until today, I have spent nearly every waking moment (aside from working on a super cool video game that I am super stoked about and hanging out with my wife and animals) playing Pokemon.

The total number of Pokemon I needed to catch:
Sword/Shield - 474
Scarlet/Violet - 548
Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee - 150
Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl - 152
Pokemon Legends: Arceus - 242
For a whopping grand total of 1,566 I needed to catch.
541 MORE THAN EVERYTHING I CAUGHT TO THIS POINT.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Unfortunately, the newer Pokemon games aren't merciful with the amount of Pokemon they have in them.

In order to complete these other Pokedexes, I would need to compile a Living Dex of each Pokemon available in those games and import them into Pokemon Home.
Thankfully I wouldnt need to recatch the Pokemon I had already caught respective to their generations and they had already counted.

The reason is because there would be a constant reminder that lived on my phone that I wasn't finished. That anytime I showed off my Living-Origin Dex to my wife in a never-ending attempt to impress her, there would be several other columns of failure.
And I couldn't have that.

I hear you ask, "Dude, if you already caught them all why go through the hassle of doing it multiple times?"

So I would need to go back through the games I had already played, and complete their individual Pokedexes by catching every. single. Pokemon. in. that. game.

Game-specific dexes required that I catch the Pokemon from that game, even if they were Pokemon I had already obtained them from older games and transferred them in.
