Stitch, a living rag-doll character from the comic book Teen Titans Academy, is cosplaying as a film noir detective. They are receiving a bundle documents in a parking garage while wearing an ill-fitting trench coat and hat and lighting a cigarette.

Stitch’s hand has caught fire. Their eyes have gotten huge and their hat has popped off. Sweat beads fly off, indicating surprise. These are both uncolored brush and ink comic book line art.

One of my favorite storytelling techniques is a before&after two-panel sequence with the “camera” held in place. This is from a Teen Titans Academy story I drew.
