I made it be horizontal, for ease and simplicity to animate. I didn't want to bother figuring out which values I had to keep an eye for, to know when to move vertically.

Easier to just move horizontally, rather than go horizontally for a bit, then go back, then go down a little, then repeat.

I made the hypno plane rotate instead of be animated, so that the wearer can see the spiral perfectly, without any stutter from my 30fps animation setup. (not sure what fps it is, but there are 30 frames in the spritesheet, instead of the original 200+)

I am not a manual expert and couldn't figure out how to sync a material switch from blank visor to spiral visor, with the pre-made system. (press button or use radial, it show spiral)

Here is a Quest Compatible Hypno Visor. An animation file uses tiling and offset to cycle through each frame in a gif I converted into a spritesheet.

What this shows is that it's possible to make animated textures work on Quest, which is pretty cool.
