I'm pretty sure that's a before shot because it would look even worse after cooking

My mom's "tacos" growing up - unseasoned ground beef, peas, cheese, ketchup and mustard sauce... Horrible and yet a little delicious at the same time.
Hmm it definitely doesn't taste like the quiche we get at the coffee shop, but I think it's pretty tasty! Looks like I might have more quiche experiments in my future (looking for a spinach feta quiche specifically)
Have you ever stayed up late preparing for a child's birthday? Usually it's cakes that keep me up, but tonight it's a quiche 😂
My 6yo was up at 3 AM this morning (I got a little sleep between 6 and 9, thankfully) but my dinner plans keep getting simpler and simpler, and I just found myself debating whether I should make the chocolate chip muffin mix, or the double chocolate mix... 🤦🥲
Nooo whyyyy
I hate it 😭 I'm already a little bit gullible, I don't enjoy being skeptical, and it's SUCH a downer
It's hard to describe how perfect my 6yo is ❤️🙌 but she is 110% herself at all times and she is so smart and I just love her so much
I loooove Nanaimo bars 🤤
So delightful! I found him on youtube & tiktok as @voicesofjake
I definitely get a gold star for making dinner even though I reeeeeally didn't want to ⭐
I don't know what I 🎵waaaaaaant🎶
My kid likes the t-rex and maybe it's because I'm really a scaredy cat, but I think it's over hyped. Or maybe I'm just traumatized by Jurassic Park (I'm team stegosaurus)
I keep wearing my mom's shoes that don't quite fit and it feels like a metaphor 😬
I just had this memory unlock - a few years after Anastasia came out, I went through a phase of "designing" dresses, and I drew this navy blue sleeveless dress based on Anastasia's gown - and I remember thinking, in my tween insecurity, "I'd even wear a bra to wear this dress!" 😂
Apparently my kid is learning about haikus, so I wanted to share my very favorite:
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

I mean, I wouldn't count on it. I saw a conservative react with "Trump is so full of himself" like some boys will be boys excuse
Shout out to my fellow Depresseds for existing ALL DAY today 😮💨 living is exhausting
We didn't freeze them, though I'm intrigued. My mom never bought cakes so we frequently had extra icing around for graham cracker sandwiches
The entertainment thing is so real! I stopped watching this show when the main characters were fighting over cancer treatments 😭 avoid avoid avoid
Was it AI? 😭 I hate that I don't ever know. I wondered, briefly, but I LIKE believing people, believing my eyes. Pretty sure the octopus punching a fish video a while back was before AI was really good at videos 🙏
I guess that depends on how much you like banquet meals - they are pretty low on my list, personally, so unless you're too exhausted to make a decision for takeout, I'd say takeout for sure
I thought I had a breakthrough moment when my first therapist helped me realize that avoiding conflict meant denying the other person a voice in my inner dialogue... but alas now I just try and make excuses instead of talking it out
Does anyone know how to make me better at conflict? I tried working with a couple therapists on it, but so far the only thing that has actually let me cause conflict has been extreme/prolonged stress. I'm so so avoidant 😭
Bought Papa Murphy's for dinner tonight - cried in the parking lot remembering how the first thing Mom wanted to do after getting out of the hospital was have a Papa Murphy's pizza party 😭
I actually saw this tiktok of someone deciding to make syrup from their.... walnut maybe? I don't remember which tree, just not a maple. I learned a lot from those videos!
Expressive, I like that 😅 I forgot to mention that I have a CPAP - my hair is getting long enough that it's kind of curling past the edges of the head gear, so it's EXTRA
Woman with half closed eyes and hair that doesn't quite reach the ear lobes. The hair is in big swoopy waves with little pieces sticking out comically
Good morning from my hair, specifically (my eyes still aren't awake)
When she started, she was like "maybe I can make dinner EVERY Tuesday!!" and then the too-salty eggs discouraged her a little. Also, it's a lot of work! But she'll probably do it again, if not every week 😅
My 9yo made her (and me!) dinner tonight - brownies and scrambled eggs. Since she made more eggs than usual, she accidentally added too much salt, and I did help just a little with the brownies, but it was really nice to have someone else make me dinner!
