#1stLinePit Rules: - A pitch event for writers to hype and support each other - All genres and all stages of writing are welcome (e.g. writing, editing, querying, on sub, already published) - Use #’s to specify genre and status of the book, see next slide for examples - Only one post per novel. If you have several novels, you can pitch them all, but only post once per hour - Share one or more of your opening lines in the body of your post—you should share no more than can fit into a post - Feel free to add moodboards, GIF’s, images, agent’s guide, or anything you want to your post - Agents/editors/publishers are invited to participate (just “like” any pitch you’re interested in) - Most important rule: comment, like, repost, and engage with others—and have fun! :D
#1stLinePit – New Rule: Issue: During our last round of #1stLinePit, some agents commented that it was hard to determine their interest based only on the first few lines. Solution: This round, you must still share your first lines in THE BODY of you post, but you’re also allowed to share your pitch, agent’s guide, a link to a previous pitch, you’re entire first page, or anything you want in the attached images / moodboard.

PS: I tried making a map with start times around the world, but HOLY CRAP—time zones are chaotic! Besides hundreds of time-zone abbreviations to keep track of, some countries within the same time zone have summer time while others don't. 😅
