truly unfair how much better I feel for having spent the last 3 hours listening to words written hundreds of years ago instead of looking at my phone
I DOTH PROTEST
On Tuesday, the Border Patrol officer testified about his experience. Greg Lairmore told the jury that Dunn “became really irritated and started yelling obscenities” at him and other officers that night before throwing “a subway style sandwich at me that struck me in the chest.” “It smelled of onions and mustard,” Lairmore said of the sandwich, which “exploded all over my chest.” Related vertical video sub sandwich thumb fonted vrtc.jpg Getty Images A sub sandwich is the latest symbol of resistance ‘Can you tell if it’s a turkey sandwich?’ Another attorney for Dunn, Sabrina Shroff, pressed Lairmore on that response, showing a photo of the sandwich on the ground, still wrapped in the Subway paper.
Couldn't pass muster nor onions.
Matt Damon playing a 14th century French knight that looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Mullet. Beard. Smells like horse shit, pine tar, and cigarette smoke.
Matt Damon while playing Odysseus who also looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Long, skinny beard. Smells like horseshit, pine tar, and perhaps Mediterranean herbs.
Matt Damon playing a 19th century cowboy that looks like a third baseman for the Phillies. Mustache. Shaggy hair. Smells like horse shit, pine tar, and definitely chewing tobacco.
Every time Matt Damon takes on a period role he ends up looking like a third baseman for the Phillies.
You ever try to code switch at work and fail? 😂
Yes, he has pantaloons:
Diabeetus.
I have 3 of these. Would love to trade the last one to someone, but alas
This.
They don't care about that, as long as they get to keep complaining about poor people getting help for anything whatsoever
Close-up of a vintage Nintendo Game Boy with the Tetris game displayed, a Tetris cartridge to its left, and the console's original packaging in the background. The scene is nostalgic and colourful, set against a vibrant, striped backdrop.
Happy 37th birthday to the Nintendo Game Boy!
For every decent person who does their jury duty, someone's life could be saved because they had a fair jury of their peers on their side.
That's why I liked that I served my grand jury duty as well. I hope I made whatever impact I could by taking the responsibility seriously.
Do your jury duty, folks...

Today Steve is mainly shocked he has a tail. He hasn't got much else to do today, so he has time for this kind of thing.

Is his work in the public domain now? Why are they able to just steal the names like that?
It's in extremely poor taste and disrespectful to a great author that even the name of Sauron is used for *real* evil
Can you share a link, please? I can't seem to find it
Also, "A majority of those voters (59%) think New York City in on "the wrong track." A majority of voters (also 59%) also said Mamdani has focused on issues important to them" sounds like a contradiction.
When I've encountered people in that "wrong track" group, they usually can't articulate why.
Is 43% bad? (Or 48% in the second poll) I'm genuinely asking because I'm not entirely familiar. The disapproval reading is a lot lower in both polls.
I think we truly don’t appreciate how much the internet has influenced and given rise to the idea that *everything* is debatable and the ultimate arbiter of truth is determined by who is willing to talk the longest.
People feel vindicated when that bigger number is next to their statement, as a sign of validation and support for their opinion, however wrong it may actually be, and emboldened in the assumption that that makes them right.
They even turned the term "ratio" into a damn verb over this idea.
The main difference is that the trolls on the internet have now presented their behavior for thousands of people to see, and others gleefully join in because someone else did it first
Or the herd mentality in which whoever got more likes first becomes the winner of the argument, and the one with less likes will get dogpiled on once the first asshole has opened the door for ridicule. That's when people start considering personal attacks as a surefire way to "win" said debate.
You've got mail!
Thank you so much! I had to make sure I got out in time to see the sakura trees. I completely missed them last year. 🌸
Awesome, I may go on a hunting trip now 🫡
