I have 3 just like that! My 4th? She hisses at me and gives me the feral cat look for a few days before finally showing me love. She’s a dickhead. But I love all of them equally and look forward to their “love” every time I go away.

Because some of us disabled, military, out of town, etc. people need to use the mail. I will not let republican scare tactics sway my ability to vote.

Today is a frozen day. I know (hope) you’re not meaning to, but it’s the old “pull yourself up by the bootstraps”, or “just rip the bandaid off” that can honestly dig people with “freezing” depression further into the dark. I wish everyone could turn their mood into action. Seeking help may be 1st.
I’m in my depressed phase of grief. So I take the days I can’t get out and write my emails to politicians. I also stay connected with friends who are just as angry and we trade off on the “actions”. People need to feel. The hurt, especially regarding ICE, is overwhelming.
I took up (invented?) angry gardening. It’s where a go pull weeds (while screaming), dig large holes, for planting, with a small hand spade (as if I’m stabbing a knife into the heart of someone who tried to kill my child), and trim any in need (with my electric chain saw). It’s great stress release.
I, a white woman, protest in place of the people of color who CAN’T. It is time we use our WHITE PRIVILEGE to stand up for those who live in fear. This is not a new concept.
