I'm 44 years old and I just learned this today
There is this thing called elder abuse, and when the elder in question has substantial power or wealth, that abuse often manifests as "caretakers" or "staff" manipulating them for their own benefit. See: the way Stan Lee was paraded around at comicons in his final years
The algorithm has decided to show me tthis guy's videos, so thanks, algorithm! Funny but also informative. youtube.com/shorts/uESGh...
what if i fucking kill you
#FlyoverStateOfFear is still going! @chendango.bsky.social and I are diving into a Hammer Horror classic "Horror of Dracula" starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Join us for one of the only pre-1970s movies you can get a Star Wars nerd to watch

I'm glad this is getting a release, the recent prevalence of burying complete projects for tax write-offs is frankly gross and anti-art. But also, full disclosure, I was never and am never gonna watch this
They think you're stupid.
PSA to anyone remotely considering Tucker's "apology".
I nominate Andy Serkis for 1st British Columbo
12th Columbo🔥🔥🔥
the scene in the michael jackson biopic where jeffrey esptein says "easy there michael even i think you're diddling too many kids" was kind of superfluous
Reading a well-written takedown of a person I have long despised is such a wonderful feeling

Is this supposed to be a negative?
I disagree with the flak this app gets. Just don't follow people that make you cringe. Mute them. Follow the funny ones. It's like hanging out in the coloring book section of a bookstore and being like wow this place is for idiots
Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.
Happy Birthday to Andy Serkis who has the coolest birth date of all time, 4/20/69
the funniest part about donald trump feuding with the pope is the pope voted for him
It shouldn't be that hard to make a scary Mummy movie. They lay out a pretty good plot for one in the '99 version. A group of men open a cursed tomb, each takes a sacred relic, The Mummy hunts them down one by one and does cool supernatural murder to them. Seems like a no-brainer
So embarrassing to think "wrestling is fake" is a salient point in 2026, or the last 30 years for that matter. Wrestlers are more athletically gifted and charismatic than 90% of standard athletes and their outcomes are predetermined for entertainment not betting markets
Seeing a movie in the theater and there is an ad promoting working while you have cancer. That's it, just promoting the idea that its important to sacrifice yourself to the machine. The dream is to drop dead at your job, its good actually.
At least the Robocop commercials were funny
iq tests should subtract 10 points for being the type of guy who'd take an iq test
that super tall man creepin up behind a gal in It Follows
outta my way lady i gotta write Jurassic Park
Wendy's has already had this for a while
Has there ever been a documentary about the possible historical reality of the events of the Bible that wasn't made by people who had a vested interest in proving the events of the Bible to have been real? Like an objectively look?
Exactly one year ago today:
I watched this last night and people are right, it is good! I'm a big Christoper Guest fan and this movie really scratched that itch.
Go check out Micro Budget on Tubi
I got annoyed at the liberal podcast class shoving Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens down our throats. www.thenation.com/article/soci...
I feel like people focus a little too much on Bruce Springsteen having a slightly cringey stage persona singing boomer music and not enough on that boomer music being pretty fuckin good and him genuinely caring about stuff
A reminder that transphobes are trash and a charm initiative after years of trash being trash is not particularly credible.
