Excited! I have a new book contract with Oxford UP to edit the anthology “Dying of Racism: The Ethics of Black Health.”
I brought together 17 top Black scholars to write on various social issues affecting Black people’s health. Coming soon!
Just two of the many stories that I tell with data and context in my book "Black Health" at a level appropriate for first-time college students learning about the social determinants of health and/or Black health.

Oh just talking about neuroethics in Munich.
Thank you Cleveland Clinic for a wonderful visit. Thank you to the outstanding Langston Hughes community center for allowing me to speak about environmental injustices and our health. The personnel at Hughes are wonderful people working hard for their community partners.
Thanks, Susan. 🙂
Like many of you, I've been struggling with what to say to students

I had a post ready about how I’m leveling up in my career this year and all the things I’m gonna do to take it up a level, but since January is already January-ing, nah. My goal this year is to have an easy 2025. Very easy.
As an AJOB Associate Editor I get to do cool things and one was suggesting a special issue on psychedelics after attending the Hopkins-Oxford workshop on psychedelics. Give it a read. It's open access for 60 days! I also have an editorial in the issue.

When you’re writing a paper about a demographic that includes you (woman writing about women’s health for example), do you say “we” or “they”? What’s your practice?
It’s one of my faves!
Oh I will try this next! Have you read “The Book of M”?
Connecting to #booksky. I try to read a for-fun book at least once a month. Young adult fiction/post-apocalyptic, fantasy, sci-fi, who dun it murder mystery, beach reads, stuff like that. Current read:
Oh thanks!
