I really have struggled to enjoy creating any visual art recently. At all. I think I need to learn to let go of pain inflicted by others because I don't often do that. Things hurt me for a long time, and a lot of that has afflicted me in a way where drawing is a really uncomfortable experience.
I cannot lie, I understand people are insecure, but It can be really overwhelming when I politely tell someone to stop doing one thing and it leads to them self deprecating on their entire existence.
I need to look into how to stand up for myself more. How to politely tell someone, in a friendly manner that still communicates that I am serious, to stop doing something. I don't, and it's mostly because I fear either making someone who's easily upset get insecure, or coming across as rude.

It seems a lot of forms of art ,whether it be games, music, drawings, models, movies, etc, have a beautiful age of experimentation until the "ah, this is what people like the most. Do more of this and take less risks" era comes along.

I am glad to see skinamarink on this list, it's one i really love but dont know how to recommend to anyone. very much a case of "yeah it's good if you like looking at walls for 90% of the film with varying volumes of white noise"
Im curious what movies you yourself would reccomend? It may point me in an even better direction than what I have experienced, considering even my favourite horror movies feel a bit lacking.
