I get that it’s a whole production with costs, and I’m not saying folks who only do audio are bad (I used to have an audio only podcast myself) but the attitude that video pods are stupid is…interesting.

Btw this is a neurodivergent thing for me but I would imagine the same features make podcasts more accessible for deaf folks too.

I watch mine whenever I can so I can read lips and (ideally) have non-automated captions. Plus I find it helpful to see facial expressions to understand tone. I am not always watching actively, but its nice to have the option to rewind and see what folks are saying.
+ I use YouTube more in general.
