1788206 - OffscreenCanvas.transferToImageBitmap incurs a copy NEW (nobody) in Core - Graphics: CanvasWebGL. Last updated 2026-03-18.

Yea sure! bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi...

I’m actually not sure what the “platform-scheduled” or “user-impact-score” stories are - do you happen to know?

I’m still patiently waiting for ff to fix readbacks in the imagebitmap paths so I could do this the other way round (multiple canvases to interlace with DOM content) 😅 Looking at the bug I think it’s been planned for a couple years now

FTC orders AI accessibility startup accessiBe to pay $1M for misleading advertising | TechCrunch The FTC has ordered accessibility startup accessiBe to pay $1 million over allegations of false advertising and misleading product claims.

Accessibility “overlay”. Claims to magically make a site accessible and… doesn’t. I also remember some discussion somewhere in an accessibility group that it actually introduced more accessibility issues, but can’t immediately find the discussion

The concern is that it’s more than just edge cases. Not saying plugins/scanners aren’t helpful, they are and can help with lots of things! But it’s not sufficient on its own

To say nothing about situations like AccessiBe which actively make things worse

These do already exist, though I don’t know about the game context specifically. There is a fair amount of stuff that isn important but automated tools wouldn’t necessarily be able to catch/resolve. There’s also a risk of an attitude of “well I have the plugin/it says it’s fine so I’m good”.

This is looking great! Once we get some sort of changelog integration, it will be a huge help for version upgrades. It drives me crazy that the GH releases UI doesn't handle this well.

I honestly would not be surprised if there’s a Pokémon -> indie dev pipeline

Ooh eduroam is a good shout.

We actually have an institutional domain with OpenReview for @eternagame.org players because we ran into this issue!

It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in the MacBook Neo or not; this is the kind of essay that makes you think about the potential of technology and the joys of exploration.

Just thinking about this again these past two days

The exact same game can succeed or fail based on whether the people jumping in are getting the game they expected

A lot of the wrong players -- players that won't like it -- jumping in to play is really gonna color perception of that game.

IMO a tragedy of AI’s trajectory (amongst other complicated feelings I have) is that it theoretically has the potential to be powerful as a tool for play, but the reality is contrary
