And the idea that I could be unintentionally building models that are bias … is stressful and not ideal.

I can typically only see things like: log ID, timestamp, server location and user action.

Maybe this is good - maybe this is the best way to avoid bias, but it makes it impossible to review and confirm that the model doesn’t contain bias.

This issue may be exclusive to me - However- I work in an industry in which we cannot have PII.

So, when I am asked to build a new model from scratch it is usually done using log data.

This makes it immensely harder (post-development) to step back and review the model for bias.

But if you eat early… then you can eat again later!
