I’d play them in order- the story is a direct continuation.
The first has similarly excellent writing while being very much much of the classic adventure game tradition. The sequel has a main mechanic that makes you go “Oh, *of course* adventure games can do this” in a wonderful way.
@kbash.bsky.social's new video is bringing back to when I used to play Warcraft III on a brick of a Dell laptop before I was even literate enough to actually understand what I was doing in the game. Good times.

- Super fun and upbeat
- Widely popular and beloved

Agh. I signed up, but life happened and I couldn't follow through by the end of January.
These blurbs are all lovely! I probably would have written about "Piazza, New York Catcher." A classic and one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar- makes me think of a love at the end of the world.
(This game has lots of Good Ways going for it. If it doesn't break me it'll probably be my favorite game of the year)
I've been pausing and exiting about every hour of playtime. For a game about meandering through life (in a good way, it is clearer supposed less of a rollercoaster and more of a building-up-of-things than the first game), I am finding PT:StS quite overwhelming (in a good way)
