Yes we would. Run for president. Even if you don’t think you have what it takes, at least you’d appoint actual experts to your cabinet.

Staying up to watch Jimmy Kimmel just to help boost his return ratings. Small acts of rebellion 🇺🇸

This is the second time in my life that I have agreed with Rand Paul. I don’t like it, but he’s Libertarian right, I’m Libertarian left so at least we agree on anti-authoritarianism

I was 100% going to go to Canada and see if I could get my vaccine. We’re so close to Windsor.

Yes. He’s the oldest man ever elected president. He’s older than Biden was in 2020. Of course he’s dying.

Having a hard time processing this. HHMI is pausing all competitions. Very demoralizing for early career scientists like me @hhmi.org

Eugenics is on the rise again: human geneticists must take a stand Scientists must push back against the threat of rising white nationalism and the dangerous and pseudoscientific ideas of eugenics.

I wrote about how we must stand and fight against the threat of eugenics.

Fueled by white nationalism and scientific racism, these beliefs are factually wrong and ethically abhorrent.

This fight includes supporting efforts to diversify our workforce & science. To stop now would be a deep betrayal.

Take it from a knitter and sewist:

•get zippers, needles, thread, iron on mending patches, and buttons. The regular day-to-day stuff comes from China.
•if you can, get a sewing machine. if you have one, get an extra needle.
•sharpen old scissors or buy good new ones; keep one pair JUST FOR FABRIC.

They think it’s like Chicken Pox? Measles? The disease known to kill or permanently disable kids 🤦🏽‍♀️ seriously this should be considered child endangerment

James Webb Satellite took a fantastic shot of the Planet Saturn with it's Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and the Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI). This is just an Amazing shot that shows the planet and the rings in brilliant detail.

Even prettier bread! The first one has castelvetrano and Kalamata olives, and the second is garlic-onion cheddar 💜

My sourdough starter actually tripled in size for the first time! I’m so proud 💜 I’ve only been able to get her to double before she falls back down.

My PI just heard that his therapeutics study section is cancelled. It was supposed to be tomorrow and Friday. We’re trying to figure out what happened.

I just learned this and it’s the greatest thing I’ve ever heard! Now I just go around screaming MUSTAAARD! And when I see him (when watching the halftime show for the millionth time) I point at the screen saying “that’s my boy Dijon”

So, I was given some sourdough starter on Sunday and I’ve been counter feeding it for the past few days. I didn’t know that most people discard some of their starter between feedings. After I make my 5000 loaves of bread tonight, I think my starter is going to have to live in the fridge. 🥖

I stopped calling myself a Christian a long time ago. I prefer follower of Christ since I actually take WWJD seriously

Well, part of the Antichrist prophecy is that the Christians will be deceived into following him. So really, it’s spot on.
