This pair of Bee eaters were sitting quite happily for 30 mins until a third bird tried to join them. Both made it very unwelcome but was eventually accepted on the dead branch in the saltpan #Tavira

Spent well over an hour watching the many Clouded Yellows on the wing in a flowery patch near the local supermarket in Tavira . Eventually one stopped and went from flower to flower giving me a good chance of a few photos.Weather has been really bad this spring until now and badly numbers are low

Came across a group of at least 15 Bee eaters while walking a well used track outside Sta Luzia ,Algarve today .Nest site in the bank was next to the track and a huge gated entrance to a house. Not one other person passing by took the slightest bit of interest ,seemed not even to have noticed.

The storks are busy gathering nest materials from the salt pans, though this gull must have thought it was a fish
maybe and harried the stork all the way back into town to its nest site. I've never seen this before . #Tavira #BirdsSeenIn2026
