Do you ever have a weird nightmare that no one else would consider a nightmare but you *know* was a nightmare because of your weird brain?

I cut out wheat recently and I had a nightmare that I totally forgot that I did that and ate a bagel.

It has been a bad week for writing. I've had to force myself to show up for *every. single. word*. (and I've thrown out more than I've kept)

I'm hoping the motivation/inspiration returns in a couple days, otherwise, I'll have to find better ways to recharge between writing sessions.

one of my favorite unconventional fried rice incredients: crushed almonds. they toast really nicely because they're small and they add protein and a nutty flavor without killing your jaw (I love almonds but my jaw can't handle them raw)

now I just need to find a substitute for soy sauce...

I'm biting the bullet and going full gluten-free for a month (including trace amounts and cross contamination)

if I seem grumpy for a while, that's why lol

Easing myself back into making art again. I don't hate it as much as I did at the end of my masters and I'm hoping it was just burnout talking.

I miss drawing, but my skills slipped so much in the last year and a half that it's going to take a lot of time and effort to get them back.

I saw a post saying "Mayonaise is basically sandwich lotion" and I'm like "yep, that's enough facebook for today."

the only reason I'm still on there is I have a lot of friends and family back in the states that aren't on other social media.

I'm getting some negative feedback on my serial and on the one hand, i hate disappointing people, but on the other hand, I'm getting some great feedback for the compiled editing stage (currently working on book one)

Why do all the anxiety self help "guides" always start with telling yourself why you're safe?

I know I'm *safe* i cant sleep and i want to claw my skin off because the sheets are itchy but im *safe*.

i need coping mechanisms for *general* anxiety. The kind that is inherently irrational.

Also, money received through the app is witheld from the creator for 75 DAYS. So not only are you as a member being charged extra, the creator has to wait 2.5 months to get it. It's bad for everyone. Sub through the mobile site or desktop!

You know, ive never really thought about it, but "a picture says a thousand words" was much more meaningful before i became a writer.

Like, dude, thats only a third of a chapter. The inciting incident hasn't even happened yet. If we're lucky, we've made it past the prologue XD

I’m assuming it’s just shiny new toy syndrome. Haven’t quite got the tone pinned down yet, but when I do, I think I’ll start developing this one as the serial I start releasing when The Stubborn Light of a Dying Flame is done. Always good to keep the future in mind.

I may or may not have started another wip and it may or may not be more fun than my current wip…

I mean, my current wip is my priority, but at least I have something I can whittle away at when I need a break from Rayna and her endless misadventures.

me (yesterday): oh my gosh, this writing is crap. it's terrible. why do I even try? should i just give up?

me (today): Wait a second, this is awesome! What the hell happened yesterday?

Sometimes, you just gotta let the writing sit overnight and come at it with a fresh pair of eyes. lol

All in all, a pretty blah week that ended alright.

I did manage to write the chapters finally so that's a plus. I'll get them scheduled tomorrow so they go out on time. no "next week on" post this week because I don't have a graphic for these chapters yet. still trying to decide if I continue with the old graphic or make one that fits my new cover.

It's been a less than stellar week. I have a visa trip coming up and those always make me anxious. couple that with my near inability to write something I'm happy with and the few hours I spent looking into the possibility of finding a job and I've just been banging my head against a wall all week.

Got some basmati rice to put my chili in. Feeling fancy~ ^^

(I know, this isn't fancy at all, but as someone who grew up on pasta and puree tomato sauce, this here is *effort* lol)

I live on the 15th floor of my apartment building and the pipes are wierd, so sometimes, when someone cooks in the 7th floor communal kitchen, i can smell it in my bathroom.

I'm so annoyed because I was gonna say "never saw a dragon book I didn't like" then I remembered that fourth wing exists now...
